MemberMothra LarvaeApr-17-2014 9:44 AMI heard there was an embargo on when reviews can start being posted, like official articles and stuff. Correct me if im wrong though anyone. But there is an early screening on May 8th, we might be getting reviews a bit before that too.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-17-2014 10:01 AMUsually Variety and The Hollywood Reporter are the first two publications to do reviews. If the movie is good the studios will allow these two to review as soon as possible to spark a good buzz. If the studios conclude that the movie isn't that good, then don't expect many reviews until the movie is close to its opening date. I expect to see a review in the next week or so.

AdminGodzillaApr-17-2014 10:21 AMRatedrex pretty much nailed it. The earlier the reviews are the more confident the studio is in it.
I also want to point out that test screening attendees are held to no such embargo, so look out for articles from the opinions of non-professionals.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-17-2014 10:46 AMI suggest you keep checking on IGN or Empire as they appear (to me) to release the first reviews.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-17-2014 5:17 PMYeah whenever a film or video game doesn't supply a copy for reviewers its because they know they have a stinker on there hands. Expect reviews any week now. I really hope they don't pre screen it for test audiences though. I know how sites love to reveal spoilers right in the topic of a discussion.

MemberBaragonApr-17-2014 5:31 PMWell to be honest, whatever the reviews say, good or bad, will it stop you from seeing the film yourself? After all, its your own personal view of the film that truly matters in the end.
