Yeah I know I haven't made that much discussions (mainly because most of the things I wanted to discuss were discussed already) but I was curious about this, if you were to make a Godzilla film what would you do with it. What would be the story and tone and would you include other monsters ?

Excelent topic!  I have had a few ideas for how I would make a Godzilla film floating around in my head for years now.  I'll share them here when I have a little more time!

But there are two thing I would DEFINITELY do if I were making a Godzilla film... cast Akira Takarada, and put Varan in it! ;)

I'm only a kid, and one of my biggest dreams is to create a godzilla movie, collaborte with TOHO to make a godzilla film. My idea was like all of the original 1954 events occured, and later in the future, steve martin's, "grandchildren" find out there old grandfather was keeping a secret from them and society. the movie would have new monsters, but pay homage to the charcters. the film would definatley be a gritty and sad tone. The movie itself would be focusing on godzilla and the monsters. But we all know a good movie might need a good story, i have no idea what the story would be, but it would be crazy....and awesome!!! the battles would take place in most of Japan, and New York City. The VFX for godzilla and the monsters would be Suit-CGI-Mation (thats what im gonna call it ). Oh and finally, there would be a bunch of flashback scenes!!!!

I would make it as dark as possible with Godzilla saving man from the Mutos (or any other monster) but then man tries to kill Godzilla and fails as Godzilla destories city after city. It would end with the audience not knowing if Godzilla was dead or alive.    fix it 2018!!!!

I'm in the process of posting my dream Godzilla movie on this forum. It's Project Nautilus, and essentially, it's a much darker and more terrifying version of the new film. It's everything I knew about the movie from the time the teaser trailer was released in december to before the release of the main trailer. If you're interested, go check it out. If you aren't, don't!

Godzilla: Dominion

Year: 67,000,000 B.C.

A large, dinosaurian creature is walking through a forest. It soon encounters another of its kind, and roars at it. Before the creatures can battle, an Earth-shaking roar is felt. A large, green, snake-like creature covered in spikes launches out of the ground and snatches a large pterosaur in its jaw. The new dinosaur-like creature runs off, and the main one runs, but falls into a cavern...

Year: 1945

An atomic bomb is dropped onto a remote island. The sheer power destroys a large area. Soon, a gargantuan creature rises, and lets out a defeaning roar as its eyes glow yellow through the smoke...

(Events of Gojira and The Return of Godzilla shown)

Year: 2020

In the technologically advanced future, new inventions like the Super X II and III, along with Maser jets and Tanks and special Cadmium missiles attached to rocket launchers, have protected humanity from monsters. However, a new creature codenamed "the Tunneller" is rampaging through San Diego! The monster destroys a bit of the city and destroys four Maser jets along with damaging the Super X II before being defeated by Baragon.

Near Miami, Rodan destroys two Maser jets and two helicopters armed with Cadmium missiles hunting him. Varan also eliminates the strike force hunting him. The two monsters then attack Miami, Florida.

Godzilla Dominion (Continued)

Godzilla has just destroyed a large part of Hong Kong before being fended off by the military and Super X III. Godzilla swims off, sensing more monsters in the area. Godzilla surfaces in Cabo, where he sees the Tunneller attacking the city. Godzilla also sees Angirius, defeated by the monster yet still alive. Kamoebas was severly wounded by the creature, and is quickly bleeding out. Godzilla roars, and the Tunneller faces him. It hisses and lunges at him. Godzilla fires his Atomic Breath at the creature, and it digs under the ground. It surfaces and spits acid at Godzilla's tail before starting to constrict him. odzilla grabs the creature's neck and starts to twist it. Eventually, he decapitates the monster, and the body falls off of him. Godzilla roars in victory before walking back into the ocean with Angirius.

Angirus follows Godzilla to Los Angeles, where Rodan is fighting off the military. They see Baragon being slowly defeated by a group of Maser tanks and Cadmium helicopters. Godzilla growls when he sees something approaching the city. An expirimental hybrid known as Biollante is being tested on the monsters. It rapitly appraches the group, escorted by four Maser jets. The freak hybrid leans over and kills Baragon with a quick, ferocious bite to the neck. Godzilla fires his Atomic Breath at the creature's face, and Varan attacks its back.

Godzilla rips off a couple of the arm heads while Biollante is distracted by Varan. Then, Angirius tackles the creature. Biollante quickly fires corrosive sap on the creature, and he backs off, roaring in pain.

Godzilla Dominion (Final part)

Godzilla fights Biollante while Varan and Rodan fight the military. Eventually, both monsters are heavily wounded, and Rodan darts over and attacks Biollante. Angirius also walks over and lands a couple of small attacks before backing off again. Biollante grabs Rodan's leg with her jaws and swings him around a bit, hitting buildings with his body. Godzilla lunges in and grabs Biollante's neck. He begins to choke her before firing an extra powerful blast of his Atomic Breath at the top of the creature's head. This blast kills her, and the monsters roar in victory. They head into the ocean to Monster Island.

Year: 2025

A research program called the Godzilla Fund has been set up to research Godzilla, Angirius, Rodan, Varan, Ebirah and Kamacuras in their natural habitats. The monsters hardly fight, but they pay no attention to the humans watching them.

Wow a 5 year old me would throw out like 50 ideas to this question. Of course most would just be already made Godzilla films with slight alterations.

If I had to make a Godzilla film it would probably be pretty similar to Godzilla Returns except I'd hopefully be able to pull out better more interesting characters. I liked the idea that the whole world was invested in Godzilla since most movies make it seem like Japan has to deal with it while the rest of the world looks the other way.
