New Godzilla 2014 Set Video & Photo Featuring Bryan Cranston!

Author: Chris Picard | Jun-03-2013 2:02 PM

A new set video from Godzilla 2014 has surfaced online and shows Breaking Bad star, Bryan Cranston entering a toxic Japanese village, contaminated by radioactivity thanks to Godzilla. Here's the description posted by the person who took the video:

Finn Slough was turned into a post apocalyptic Japanese fishing village for a scene in Godzilla 2014. Weeks of set dressing and lots of smoke for a few minutes of film. The boat comes in to the dock and Brian Cranston gets out and runs up the dock with someone else. Anybody know who? Both were wearing gas masks and radiation suits. It's over and everything is back to normal for now.

In addition to this video, another set photo has appeared online, featuring a new addition to the Godzilla 2014 cast - C.J Abrams, who will portray Bryan Cranston's son in Godzilla:

I dont know why, but I'm suddenly very concerned about this movie. I mean everything looks great so far. But I'm just worried.

Kids I hope do not become the focus of the film as that was why Godzilla became campy in the 60s and 70s was because of kids liking it.

I hop we see new photos of Akira Takarada in the film. I did get to meet him last summer at G-fest.

This is someone's vid from last year at G-fest when Akira Takarada was there, Ultraman's Bin Fuyura and actor Robert Scott Field. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTgffEcIF0s

I remember Bryan Cranston from From the Earth to the Moon when he played Buzz Aldrin.

I'd love to see Megumi Odaka return. She is known to us fans having played Miki Saegusa in the Heisei films. The only human Godzilla trusts and communicates with. Here is a friend's vid of her with the Godzilla suit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vC0LeVwSG68

Megumi was in the quake/ tsunami of 2011. She's alright as Robert Scott Field told me. She's married now and has a dog.

I don't know what the whole big deal about a kid being in the movie. Doesn't anyone watch Walking Dead? There is a kid in there and it's fantastic show. In The Dark Knight movies, there were kids in there and they didn't "dominate" the film. I'm not worried at all. As long a Godzilla is the monster we know and love, then there isn't an big deal. I just hope Godzilla is more of an anti hero character like he was in the Heisei films and some of the 2000 films like GFW. If they make if a flat out villain like GMK, it's gonna confuse the audience as to whether or not we should root for him. Godzilla needs to be a sympathetic monster the people can connect with like King Kong or Frankenstein. If he's a villain, it's not gonna work and it might end up more like Godzilla 1998. The enemy monster that is rumored should be a much more eviler threat which causes the human characters to lean more toward Godzilla to win like in the some of the Heisei films.

Anyway, that's my two cent. Just seeing a pic and video of Bryan Cranston gives me more hope that it film will be great. I hope we see Ken Wantanabe on set and something on Godzilla's look soon.

KING KAIJU ›

im not worried about this movie because grifith said he was making it a serios movie and having some kids in it isnt going to mean much as long as it doesnt have a kid as the main character like godzilla's revenge i think it will be fine.

jkzilla15 ›

yeah... i have to agree with you king kaiju and incredible hulk, that's almost like saying G2000,mechagodzilla02, and .SOS Wernt good movies in the series because of the kids in the movie, Anyway i'd be a little more concerned on the main character, but its not like it is, im just saying have faith geez...

jkzilla15 ›

oh yeah, and as long as its the GODZILLA and not zilla...
