Godzilla: King of the Monsters has added yet another role to its cast today. Deadline reported today that Aisha Hinds would be starring in the film in an undisclosed role. Plot details for the film remain under wraps.

Hinds is best known for her role as Harriet Tubman in WGN's historical Drama 'Underground'. Her other credits include the Fox series 'Shots Fired', and the HBO biopic 'All the Way'. Godzilla: King of Monsters will be her first major blockbuster film. 

Hinds will join the emerging cast of the film which already includes Millie Bobby Brown,O'Shea Jackson, Vera Farmiga, and Kyle Chandler in cast the film.Godzilla King: Monsters will release on Mar. 22, 2019. The film will be directed by Michael Dougherty, and written by Zach Shields. Stay tuned to Scified as more casting news breaks!

I think she might be another Monarch secret official or the mother to Oshea Jackson's character. I'd prefer the first though. If they add any more actors/actresses, it'll probably be two or three more at the most. Than when June comes around, we can finally start seeing set photos and come up with many of our own theories on what's what and what's happening.

On Michael Dougherty's (or however you spell it) Twitter, he said Welcome to Monarch but that may just be because its Godzilla but it could still be a hint of the role that she is playing in the film

Has Hollywood got nothing on it's pea-brain polemicist conscience other than politically motivated ethnicity.  Don't they realize that there are plenty of other ethnicities out there, especially for a stereo-typical Japanese icon.
This is one I won't bother to change channels for.

Also, maybe Aisha Hinds was cast because of her past work and what the filmmakers feel she can bring to the film's narrative, ethnicity notwithstanding.
