Briefly: On December 1st, 2017, the Criterion Channel Twitter revealed that they would be streaming their recently acquired catalog of Godzilla films on their FilmStruck platform. The films will begin streaming Friday, December 8th. Their full Twitter announcement reads:
"Godzilla fans, rejoice! This month, we're offering you the chance to go on a veritable viewing rampage with this massive collection of 14 kaiju classics! Running from Honda's original GODZILLA (1954) to the director's sci-fi drama TERROR OF MECHAGODZILLA (1975)—arriving on 12/8!"
Their Godzilla/kaiju titles include:
Godzilla (1954)
Godzilla Raids Again (1955)
Godzilla: King of the Monsters (1956)
Rodan (1956)
Mothra vs. Godzilla (1964)
Ghidorah: The Three Headed Monster (1964)
Invasion of Astro-Monster (1965)
War of the Gargantuas (1966)
Son of Godzilla (1967)
Destroy All Monsters (1968)
All Monsters Attack (1969)
Godzilla vs. Megalon (1973)
Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla (1974)
Terror of MechaGodzilla (1975)
Criterion also hopes to release the films on DVD and Blu-ray in the future--Although there are no release dates or details for a physical release at this time. In addition to Filmstruck, the movies are also streaming on STARZ.
