Godzilla vs. Kong will be receiving a hybrid release when it premieres next year.
Warner Bros. has announced that they will be releasing their entire slate of 2021 films on HBO Max the same day that the film's premiere in theaters. This means that U.S. HBO Max customers can watch all of Warner Bros.' 2021 films (including Godzilla vs. Kong) for a limited time at no extra cost.
This move indicates that it now appears much more likely that Warner Bros. and Legendary will stick to Godzilla vs. Kong's current release date and not postpone it once again. Along with this landmark deal, a new official logo for the upcoming Monsterverse film has also been unveiled.
Godzilla vs. Kong is set to be released on May 21, 2021.
