Big yikes... Playmates Toys managed to secure the rights to produce action figures based on Adam Wingard's upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong (2021) movie and this week, images of the Godzilla and Kong figures were leaked online, giving us our first look at what these action figures will look like when they hit shelves. Although the official marketing material for the figures looked okay... one fan managed to secure themselves one of the Giant Kong figures and suffice to say, the actual product seems to differ significantly from what the initial images advertised...

Fans are not impressed...
Sadly, we also received news this week that NECA will not be producing any more Godzilla figures, which seems even more devastating following the revelation of this article.
We're still holding out on S.H. MonsterArts to save the day with some legitimately impressive figures for Godzilla vs. Kong because at this rate, it's not looking like the Playmates alternatives will not be that sought after by fans and collectors.
