As we periodically do, today we're highlighting some neat new Godzilla fan artwork by a longtime member of these forums and renowned zBrush artist, D0pep0pe inspired by a concept piece created by another Godzilla fan named Bracey from DeviantArt. The artwork depicts an alternative design for the King of Monsters, giving Godzilla a more reptilian appearance. The design is a fairly significant contrast to the Bear-inspired design of Legendary's Godzilla from the 2014 film. Check out the artwork below and let us know if you would appreciate a more reptilian design for Godzilla in the comments section!

It be cool if this were another species of Godzilla in the MonsterVerse. Like how Godzilla & Jr. were in the Heisei Era.

I like this. It almost looks like a fusion of Zilla and Heisei Godzilla.

Lose the neck thingy and it's not bad.

Love the artwork but the Legendary Godzilla is the *most* reptilian design I'm willing to accept. Nice work though! Always enjoy fan takes/redesigns on creatures and monsters!! :)

I still prefer "chubby" Godzilla because he looks like he's got some real muscle, and it fits his "lumbering" image that the character represents. The "squarish-ness" kinda fits, really.

However, a more reptilian design isn't a bad idea.

Interesting. I actually like the drawing more than the digital model version (though I like his work as well).  I like the larger head to body size of the drawings and the thicker / meatier neck of the drawings

This is kickass! I even love the thing under its neck. Reptilian Godzilla all the way. :D

This design is better than what we got, although Edwards' Godzilla is pretty cool
