Everybody’s favorite lizard is just month’s away from a big screen hit. Here’s how you can amuse yourself whilst you wait!
For any Godzilla fan, early 2021 is going to be a waiting game. We've got until the 26th of March to twiddle our thumbs until the great and glorious lizard returns to our screens again, this time to battle it out with Kong. This film is so hotly anticipated because it promises to bring to an end the Monsterverse quadrilogy, as well as settling once and for all, what happened between the original Godzilla movies and Kong: Skull Island. If you just don't know what to do with yourself during the wait, then here are some Godzilla themed ideas to keep you occupied.
Watch a Blatant Knock-Off
So popular was Godzilla originally that there were dozens of films that sought to recreate some of that same magic. There are a few films that did an admirable job, but one film stands out above all, Pulgasari. Normally a film would stand out because it came close to achieving its goal, but Pulgasari is very simply, the weirdest. This film was created in the late 1970's by Shin Sang-ok at the request of the North Korean government. The details surrounding this are pretty upsetting, so we won't go into it here, but suffice it to say, Shin Sang-ok probably wouldn't have made this film under his own volition. The premise of the film sees Pulgasari (aka North Korean Godzilla) summon a peasant's uprising. The peasants try to fight against the king, but before you know it, Pulgasari changes his mind and decides to eat/stamp on/generally squash the peasants. Maybe it's a thinly veiled warning, maybe it's just a totally bizarre Godzilla knock-off. Either way, it's more than worth an hour and a half of your time
Godzilla vs Kong Slots Game
If you've got itchy fingers and a computer to hand then a great way to pass some time is to try out the Godzilla vs Kong slot game. Casino games like this are super easy to pick up and can be a fun way to spend an afternoon. The Godzilla vs Kong game is a pretty new release. You'll be called upon to rescue people from both of these terrifying monsters, all whilst enjoying the standard spinning reels and bonus features that you'd expect from any modern slot game. If you want to grab yourself some free spins or a no deposit bonus then head to legalbetting.com where they've ranked the top casinos. It takes out a lot of the hard work of searching for the best deal.
Catch Up With the New Footage
If you haven't heard about this snippet of footage yet then are you even a true Godzilla fan? Although we've no full-length trailer for the film at the moment, HBO has released some footage from the upcoming film. It came as part of a snippet from one of their multi-program advertisements, but it's still got us excited. We've already written a little more about it on godzilla-movies.com, so sit back and enjoy a blissful second and a half of Kong and our favorite Lizard.

Buy the Board Game
Released in August last year, Godzilla: Tokyo Clash is a truly brilliant board game. You'll need at least one, and up to three, other people to play with. You'll each get one of the most terrifying Kaiju on the planet, Mothra, Megalon, King Ghidorah and, you guessed it, Godzilla. Once you've finished fighting over who gets to be Godzilla, the game can begin. The incredibly intricate miniatures will be your playing pieces that traverse a completely 3D cityscape. Even better, the cityscape is modular, so you can build and rebuild until you're satisfied with the layout. You'll each have your own deck of cards which will correspond to your miniature Kaiju. Dice rolling and card choosing will allow you to cause damage to the town and your opponents. If throwing trains, stomping on buildings, and generally wreaking havoc is your idea of a good time, then Godzilla: Tokyo Clash is a game you'll want to get your hands on. Amazon is currently selling them for less than $20 a copy, so it could be a nice present to yourself!
