Earlier today Twitter user Aimer_07 leaked a promotional segment for Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters. Clearly recorded off the television, the piece interviews leading man Mamoru Miyano. The actor is no stranger to either anime or tokusatsu, having played the main character Setsuna F. Seiei on Mobile Suit Gundam 00 and the voice of Ultraman Zero.
In Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters Miyano plays Haruo Sakaki, a young man who bears nothing but hatred for Godzilla after seeing his parents killed by the Monster King. Years later he becomes the leader of a faction who return to Earth hoping to take it back from Godzilla.
Miyano is joined by the lead heroine Kana Hanazawa as Yuko Tani. Hanazawa recently lent her voice to the Japanese Academy Awarding winning anime Your Name.
The footage gives us a new look at the mountainous Godzilla--Larger and seemingly more impervious than before. You can watch the new footage on Twitter here.
Thanks to Huge-Ben on Twitter for the heads up.
Godzilla: Planet of Monsters stars the voice talents of Mamoru Miyano (Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Ultraman Zero: The Movie), Takahiro Sakurai (Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans), Kana Hanazawa (.hack//Quantum), Yuki Kaji (Attack on Titan), Tomokazu Sugita (Attack on Titan), Junichi Suwabe (Space Dandy), Kenta Miyake (Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn), Kenyu Horiuchi (Bleach, One Piece), Kazuhiro Yamaji (Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children) and Kazuya Nakai (Dragon Ball Super).
