Although Michael Dougherty's Godzilla: King of the Monsters has been filming for over three weeks now, casting news is still drizzling in. Deadline reports that Elizabeth Ludlow has joined the cast to the upcoming sequel. Ludlow played Arat on several episodes of AMC's The Walking Dead.

At this time nothing is known about Ludlow's role in the film. She will join co-stars Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things), Kyle Chandler (Super 8, Friday Night Lights), Vera Farmiga (The Departed), O'Shea Jackson (Straight Outta Compton), Aisha Hinds (If I Stay), Anthony Ramos (Hamilton), Charles Dance (Game of Thrones), Randy Havens (Stranger Things), Ken Watanabe, (Godzilla), Sally Hawkins (Godzilla), Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley), Bradley Whitford (Get Out, West Wing) and Zhang Ziyi (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon). The film will be directed by Michael Dougherty from his screenplay co-written by Zach Shields. Alex Garcia is producing.

Even thought I watch the Walking Dead, I don't remember this actress.

Remember the scene when Rosita tried to shoot Negan? Arat was the one that cut Rosita's face then shot Olivia as payback.

Careful if and when you find out your favorite actor joins a roll in the Monsterverse. They could suffer the same fate as Bryan Cranston, John Goodman, and Samuel L. Jackson. If you seen Godzilla (2014) and Kong Skull Island, you will know exactly what I mean.

Well Cranston and Goodman yeah, but Jackson had a big role that lasted almost the whole movie.

^I was thinking the same thing. When the news struck that she is on a popular show on AMC my first thought was "oh she is going to die real quick". It would finally squish the sexist card. seems like all the men die, not the women in these movies.

Oh! I take it back already, G14 Cranston's Brody's wife dies in the first 10 mins of the film. But we barely got to know her and care about her to make it an impact on the audience. when Cranston and Goodman both died I felt like damn! I wanted to see those characters carry out there mission in these movies.
