Hey, guys!
I didn't watch the Wondercon footage because I didn't want to spoil that scene for myself, but I am still interested in knowing something:
The train scene that was in a lot of the trailers (TV spots included) shows what everyone used to think was a MUTO head breaking the train in half. Knowing what the MUTOs actually look like now, I'm certain that wasn't a MUTO, or it at least wasn't its head. So my simple question to those of you who saw the footage? Please tell me what it actually was!
Don't worry about spoiling anything for me. I pretty much know what happened in that scene. I just didn't want to SEE it until the movie comes out.
Thanks for reading!

I'm willing to bet that white thing was probably an early concept for the MUTO monster.

The scene with the soldiers on the train tracks or the airport scene? If its the latter than it was caused by the Muto. If you are talking about the scene with the two soldiers on the tracks, that scene was not in the wondercon footage.

After watching the wondercon footage repeatedly I'm convinced that it was the MUTO's arm that smashed the train in half. it's head or mouth didn't look big enough to do the job.

@Kage432
My guess is that it was the airport scene I was talking about. Sorry, I thought Ford was inside a TRAIN. XD My bad.

It's most likely not the MUTO's head.
Probably an arm or something.

@DINOZILLA0439 - No, you were right, Ford was in a train. I only refer to it as the airport scene as to avert confusion because both scenes involve trains.

It's the head

i know what scene your talking abaout. it was the mutos head lookin into the train car after breaking it in half

@Kage432
Oh, okay, that's what I thought. That was the scene I was talking about.

Just posted the images in case someone doesn't know exactly what I'm talking about.

It was the head, mostly everyone who saw the footage knows that.
First you see MUTOs head showing it's teeth (this scene is in the extended trailer) and then 1 or 2 seconds later it bites the train in half. That's no arm.

I believe you if you say it's the head since you apparently saw the footage, but how is that possible? The pictures look nothing like either of the MUTO heads.... or am I just not getting the shape right?

After looking at the picture, I think it might be the MUTO's head.
In the WonderCon footage, we saw that the MUTO has patches of white on it.

Yes it is the Muto's head but it's biting from in front as opposed to down from above as I thought previously. Simply put, if its mouth and throat were bigger the tram would be driving down it.

I'm not sure, but I see this:
Actually I didn't make the head large enough, the shiny pink bit is the skin at the sides of the mouth, you can't see the inside of its mouth from this angle. The mouth comes down wide open and closes as it passes through.

So what is that big black thing that looks like an eye on the side of it's mouth?

It's on the picture at the top on the top right of the Muto in that picture there is a black spot that looked to me like an eye, not sure what it actually is now

Ah ok I've found some pictures where it was circled by someone. I think that's the back corner of its jaw.
Well as someone who watched the wondercon footage like 20 times when it was out, the simple answer is, yes that is the muto biteing the train, in fact in one of the full length trailers you can see the muto lineing up its head right in front of the tram, and then the rest of the scene is it demoloshing the tram as it bites it.
In fact heres the sequence of events in order.
Here the Muto is lineing up to strike the tram.
In this picture you can clearly see out the front window of the tram is the Muto's mouth/gums/tongue.
Here the Muto has just bitten the tram.
Then it rips it's mouth away tearing the tram in half.
And that is a complete rundown of the scene.
