Joe Brody archive footage?

An interesting idea I thought of for the sequel, yes, I know he's dead and ain't coming back, but maybe we could still get some archive footage of Joe Brody from before his death in the sequel? That would be pretty cool, and it could lay the foundation for further plot developments and such.

For example, you could have Ford (if he's in the sequel, and I think he will be) dig through his Dad's old files and pull out a disk of him saying he funded the Earth Defense Force so that his research could one day be used for a "wider spectrum" of things (I think you know where I'm going with this) and give us EDF in the two sequels. EDF could either create new weapons from monster cells or, just a thought: give us a Legendary version of MechaGodzilla for the third movie (or both), which I would, of course, be A-OK with. He's popular enough, so I could see them trying to fit him into this "grounded" universe in the third movie (and they did say in an interview that they could fit any of the Toho monsters into this if they wanted to).

Having serizawa dig through his reaserch migth be a good plot point, maybe he unwillingly and unknowingly found the existence of say King Ghidorah

I thought from the beginning that giving Joe a bit of archive footage in Godzilla 2 might not be a bad idea. Bryan Cranston gave a great performance as Joe Brody, and he expressed great enthusiasm for the project. A lot of complaints directed at the movie revolved around Cranston's lack of screentime despite how interesting his character was and how well Cranston acted. I can see Cranston being willing to at least make a cameo in 2, and I'm sure a lot of fans would enjoy to see him in just a few more scenes, even if these are flashbacks and/or archive footage.

Well, we can all agree that it isn't a bad idea. The question then is this:

What kind of "old footage" of Dr. Brody can we possibly expect and/or want? We have to remember that he wasn't in the loop of secrecy until the incident at Janjira. So, that probably rules out any sort of "secret organization he's a part of that has lotsa secrets". So, that doesn't leave room for much else.

I think that possibly footage of him studying the evidence of kaiju or contacting other scientists about them might be feasible. We know for a fact that he was at least somewhat aware of Godzilla because there is an article on his wall that mentions a cover-up in the Pacific in 1954. Nothing that could be introduced in archive footage of Joe would be particularly ground-breaking, but it might provide some small exposition and give fans just a little bit more Bryan Cranston.
