CrypticTitan,
The skeleton they found the MUTO eggs in was another Godzilla. The special features on the Blu-Ray/DVD confirmed this already.

Oy... I really shouldn't have let this topic through... This is why I hate the MUTOs...

Again, "Vishnu" was simply a one-shot placeholder monster used in a teaser trailer before the M.U.T.O.s were designed. It has no relationship to the M.U.T.O.s and has absolutely no function aside from showing in a teaser trailer that Godzilla was going to fight another monster in the movie. The monster doesn't even resemble the M.U.T.O.s at all. From the looks of it, the creature was just a giant tardigrade, while the M.U.T.O.s are huge parasitic prehistoric insects.

And the skeleton in the beginning was confirmed, I repeat CONFIRMED, to just be another member of Godzilla's species, which was killed by a M.U.T.O. and had eggs laid in its corpse.

Danielle,
I hate'em for other reasons as well, but this hardly helps matters. Leave it to rabid fans to stretch out conversations about some of Godzilla's least interesting foes with all this Vishnu nonsense...

I've never seen something that's only been seen in concept footage, and dead at that be so hyped by the fanbase. This is like Bagan x1000 levels

I don't think it will be as long lasting of an annoyance as Bagan, but for right now it sure is dying a lot slower than I'd like it to...

The monster in the teaser is not called Visnhu, in fact it has no name

At least Bagan actually made an actual appearance in something and there is some (but minimal) information about him. This "Vishnu" creature was just a throwaway early concept monster used for one teaser trailer, and despite Legendary's repeated assertions that this creature is neither canon nor will it ever make any future appearance, countless fans continue to rampantly speculate about it and make ridiculous claims.

Depending how easy the concept trailer is to find in future years I don't see the Vishnu monster going away till it does.

I do. Once enough time passes and people realize nothing is coming of it it'll be gone. Once the Legendary movies are over there should most certainly be less talk about it.

I know it was confirmed to be a godzilla but I don't buy it. The skeletal structure dosen't resemble any part of godzilla, it's to elongated and thin.

It doesn't matter if from the angles shown in the film that the skeleton doesn't look like Godzilla, because it is 100% confirmed that it is. The skeleton is seen looking up from below the ribcage, hence the only part of it seen is really a long view of the vertebrae and the ribs, which might give the appearance of the skeleton being elongated.

Again, you can argue and doubt all you want, but it doesn't matter because it is still OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED to be a Godzilla.

Ok, that creates another question, where is the rest(bottom half) of the skeleton And the shoulders/arms/sternum of it?

^Off screen or eroded? It was down there for a long time, there are no muscular remains, what would hold the sternum, shoulders and legs in place?

Listen Titanosaurus is 60 meters tall, but looks closer to 400 meters in certain composite shots of Terror of MechaGodzilla. It doesn't change the fact that he was still 60 meters. Stats are stats. Intentions are intentions.

I don't like the fact that something is intended on-screen and it doesn't come off that way more than anyone, but if that's what the filmmakers had in mind with the skeleton, that's what it is.
