I would hope the GMK Godzilla is more menacing since the other suit is a hero Godzilla while GMK might be the most antagonistic one ever.

I may personally like the GMK design more than the 1974 suit, but there is absolutely no denying that the GMK design is completely wrong for Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla's story and its portrayal of Godzilla.
I for one like the '74 design, although I find the '75 upgrade lightyears more appealing.
