How likely will Mothra appear in her larva form in Godzilla 2? Or will the film just stick to her adult moth form?

Good question, I've been wondering the same thing. The cave paintings suggest an already-adult Mothra, but our official first look at Mothra in Godzilla 2 showed two Larva on either side of her. So, perhaps we will get to see Larva form at some poit.
She will probably show up in adult form. There is so much going on in the movie the way it is I can see little of the larva form of Mothra.
I would be extremely surprised if they didn't show her larva form
Maybe they’ll do something similar to Mothra vs. Godzilla where the Imago form dies but the larvae finish the battle.
Forum signatures are always so hard to come up with...
The timeline says that Mothra is currently in a state of cocoon so we probably won't see the Larvae but I think we might see them in a flashback or maybe the intro of the movie.
Jet Jaguar > Mechagodzilla
I can see a flashback featuring the larvae mothra being featured. I can see Mothra defending her egg or eggs from King Ghidorah and showing the babies later after the big battle at the end. IF there is going to be a monster dying it will be Mothra. In a lot of Godzilla based mothra entries, Mothra dies quite often.
Rodan dies twice in the 6 Rodan entries. Mothra dies 6 times out of the 12 movies that feature mothra. im not including what the Hell happened to her in Spacegodzilla. not sure if she died out in space or just wanted to turn into all the fairy mothra's. So so far according to her track record she has a 50% chance of dying in this film. Rodan has about 33.333% chance of dying. Godzilla just wont die. King Ghidorah dies 3 times out of the 6 movies he has been in. And one of the movie he dies 2 times! So Ghidorah also has a 50% of dying as well.
Just saying that there could be room for a Larvae Mothra. Maybe in the endind after the fight
