Which film released for Godzilla's six anniversaries (10th, 20th, 30th, 40th, 50th & 60th) was your favorite? Which decade was your favorite anniversary?

10 Years: Mothra vs. Godzilla, Ghidorah: The Three Headed Monster

20 Years: Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla

30 Years: The Return of Godzilla

40 Years: Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla (1993) ,Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla (yes, both were marketed as 40th Anniversary films)

50 Years: Godzilla: Final Wars

60 Years: Godzilla (2014)

godzilla 2014 as a favorite movie, but final wars is a better anniversary because of all of the monsters in that movie.

still waiting for a good modern kaiju game. *sigh*

I agree with KaijuWorld. While I like the design of the monsters in Godzilla (2014), if I wanted to see an anniversary film with a memorable human plot and a whole lot of monster action, I would have to go with Godzilla: Final Wars.

I think for me the 2 stand outs are Ghidorah the Three-Headed Monster, and Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla(74). It's really hard choosing between then I'd probably have to sit down and rewatch them both before I could really pick a standout.

As for which decade was my favorite, probably the 50th, not because Final Wars(bottom 5 g movie IMO) but as a fan I remember a lot of Godzilla movies got special releases in the states.

While Final Wars was awful, the celebration and anticipation throughout that year was incredible:

- Godzilla: Save the Earth for the PS2
- The star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
- The mass of merchandise
- The amount of Godzilla movies being released/re-released on DVD, etc.

Final Wars may have been a critical and box office bomb, but the road to it was a lot of fun.

I'm gonna go with Ghidorah: The Three Headed Monsters, but other anniversary movies are very solid as well. Final Wars seems the be the ultimate tribute, but there are many things in it that caused my "love & hate" approach towards this movie.
Favourite decade? The 60th, because I am happy to see Kaiju Resurgence in the mainstream. The hype of the 50th was basically non-existent in Poland, so I was unaware of it.

Experience wise for me, Godzilla 2014 was the best because I went through the entire marketing process, leaks.....amazing time. And because of that, I have a bias towards G14. Hence why it is my favorite of the bunch.
