Petition to bring back the Godzilla Games

Petition to bring back the Godzilla Games

Huge-Ben #TeamGhidorah

Dec-24-2018 5:05 PM

Pipeworks and Atari, the companies responsible for the Godzilla trilogy of video games from Destroy All Monsters to Godzilla Unleashed have started a petition for anyone who may want to bring these old games back. Could you imagine these games in HD?

For those interested, here in the link below, you may sign the petition to let Pipeworks and Atari know that you are interested in bringing these games back.

Pipeworks has said they want to do a remaster and are watching the petition closely. But we need Atari onboard! Over the last few hours the petition has gained major traction with 500+ signatures today. Sign here:

I am impressed with both the traction and passion this is getting. GNN has been a lot of fun to speak with and his aggressiveness to get support is great.

With Pipeworks taking notice I do hope something comes of this. Though I wonder (and worry) how Toho factors in to this.

The fact that Pipeworks has taken notice is awesome. I hope Atari gets on board, I grew up with these games and LOVED them... except Godzilla Unleashed cause I got it for PS2 and the PS2 version was garbage compared to the next gen versions. Hahaha I remember being so disappointed. But Save The Earth was always a blast.

I never had the opportunity to play Unleashed growing up, so it would be a massive pleasure to play a remastered version. Save the Earth was my go-to rental growing up.

Around 2,000 more signatures in just the last few hours is pretty impressive. I'd say this kind of camaraderie is a wonderful representation of the fan base at Christmas. The surge was great. Hope it can keep up the momentum for more. As long as it continues to get shared, we're doing pretty well for a niche fanbase.

By “remastering”, do they simply mean re-releasing the three games on current consoles and up scaling them to HD or do they mean something like Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy where the basic gameplay is the same, but all of the models and backgrounds and visuals have been upgraded?

Don’t get me wrong, I’d be really happy for either direction, as I love these games, but I’m just a tad confused is all.

I would love a new game that has newer kaiju but that might be asking for too much

I think it'd be neat to have remastered versions of the old Goji games (like the remastered Resident Evil or Spyro), but I think they should have a story mode game akin to the lego games based off of movies. Not saying they should make a Lego Goji game (Which would be kinda cool) but they should try throwing those ideas into the mix.

They should bring back the games, but not only make it for one console.
