So back in November of 2018 it was announced that Toho was making a short film for Godzilla’s 64th anniversary. It was being made with a recreation of the ‘54 suit and was said to be set to release in January of 2019. And that seems to be it. Search as I might, I can’t find any indication that they actually followed thru. Was just thinking about this project the other day and was wondering if anybody had any info on it?

The movie is called Godzilla Appears in Sukagawa and was made exclusively for the Eiji Tsuburaya Museum. It can only be viewed there, currently. As of right now there is no home video release available and it has not been put online.
Sukagawa is the hometown of Tsuburaya, where the museum opened. The special effects were done by Kenji Suzuki who was the special effects director of Godzilla 2000 and Godzilla x Megaguirus.
