Monsterverese monsters that need there own movie.

Mothra!

Some monsters in the monsterverese are extremely popular. Who thinks that it would be cool for each of the monsterverese monsters to have there own movie where we get more information about a monster’s life.

A story about Behemoth set during the late Cenozoic/ice ages would be cool. Seeing how he's based on Cenozoic mammals, like woolly mammoths and ground sloths, it would be interesting to see him living along side them.

I’m probably in the minority, but I don’t think any of the other monsters need a solo film. Regardless of how different their personalities, strengths, and abilities are from Godzilla and Kong, if other monsters were to get their own films, I feel they’d be too similar to the MonsterVerse films that we’ve gotten so far. They’d still involve the monsters fighting each other and the humans either dictating the events or watching from the side. 

Not only that, but with the exception of Kong, I doubt general audiences see the monsters as characters. I bet they only watch these films to see the monsters fight each other while buildings crumble around them. Kaiju fans are different in that they connect with the monsters on a deeper level. Because of this, they’re more likely to want to see a solo film for a non-Godzilla and Kong monster. But I don’t think general audiences would be interested in seeing Mothra, Rodan, or Behemoth struggle to defeat their own enemy monsters.

The only one I see that makes sense is Mothra, but even then I highly doubt it. If you are asking which original monster should get a movie, none. I don’t find them all too compelling enough to warrant one. We only saw a glimpse of a few and the comics showed them briefly too. Maybe they could play a major role in a Godzilla or Kong movie, but I can’t see them take center stage.

If we ever see Mothra and Rodan again in the future, I’m betting they’ll either play major roles in a third Godzilla film, or have cameos in a Destroy All Monsters-like film. I also think we’ll see more of them in future comics and graphic novels. But as for them getting solo films, I doubt that’ll ever happen. It would be too much of a financial risk on Legendary’s end (especially after what happened with KOTM back in 2019) and I think it’d be better if they kept relying on Godzilla and Kong.
