apparently in the new movie, hes been asleep for millions of years. In 1954, he basically hibernated for millions of years too and lived off deep see organisms. So maybe he has hundreds to thousands of years left. Speculation on that part though.

I would say that due to the radiation he absorbs, be may be near immortal.

Hard to say. The closest thing we have to the general godzilla lifecycle is Junior from the heisei series in which case it appears the monster at least matures at a decently fast rate. It seems Godzilla also hidernates a lot in this series so he may mature fast then go into year long hibernations to possibly increase his lifespan.

The showa Godzilla didn't appear to age at all between his appearance in Raids again, and Destroy All Monsters, which in terms of timeline is the latest in that series so that's about 40 years of maintaining a similar look.

1337000 years.

He may be Biologically Inmortal....like Lobsters!!

And only be killed by another monster (If possible),by a very strong weapon....

OR as we saw in Gozdilla vs Destroyah! Over charge with nuclear energy (From another explosion) and start to have a nuclear reaction!!!

Yeah, he's pretty much biologically immortal. No dying of disease or age for him! Dying from other monsters and super-weapons is another thing. Though, those things aren't that hard to shrug off for the most part, so it's okay!

I dont know if Godzilla could die of anything really, I mean in the new movie all we know so far is he will be fighting Mutos, but were not 100% sure on thier abilites. So to think realistic (in terms of the upcomig movie) the only thing we have powerful enough to kill him would either be an atom bomb or an hydrogen bomb.

So he's kinda immortal, and to answer your question, he has been here for a few million years so he could still have a few more million in front of him, unless they kill him in the movie, which really shouldn't be the case

It's been awhile, but wasn't Junior's lifecycle sped up after the accident on Bass Island in vs. Destroyah? Sure he was fairly big in SpaceGodzilla, but the characters seemed surprised he had matured like he had in vs. Destroyah and then there's lines like, "Bass Island really did something to him."

"'Nostalgic' does not equal 'good,' and 'standards' does not equal 'elitism.'" "Being offended is inevitable. Living offended is your choice."

He's probably biologically immortal.

He's almost near all-immortal considering his durability.

"I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve."

well bass island heard was filled with radiation but that only mutated him but i agree with everyone he is immortal

GodzillaMember5639 XPApr-22-2014 3:20 PMGODKILLA2000 - I'd have to agree with the vast majority of the posters and say that Godzilla is, through metabolism and radioactive physiology, immortal on the biological scale. Then again, he may have a half-life! ;)

BaragonMember425 XPApr-22-2014 6:05 PM

I believe that was due to him changing from a Godzillasaur into a full Godzilla. When he is first born they mention him being a plant eating Godzillasaur then in vs. Destroyah he had taken the same mantle as his father, so I think that's the change they were talking about.

I think he has a life span of at least 100 years.
