While I'm still not 100% certain of how they, particularly Micheal Dougherty could write Biollante in naturally into the ongoing story in the Monsterverse, let us first discuss how her fitting in thematically makes perfect sense:

For one thing, and for those who may not have seen Godzilla vs. Biollante I'll be going into a bit of spoilers in order to properly talk about her fitting in would make thematic sense, Biollante is essentially the true living embodiment of man screwing with nature. The movie is a direct follow up to Godzilla 1985, In the aftermath of Godzilla's attack followed by him being imprisoned in Mt. Mihara, his cells are delivered to the Saradia Institute of Technology and Science, where they are to be merged with plants in the hope of transforming it into fertile land and ending the country's economic dependence on oil wells. However, a terrorist bombing destroys the institute's laboratory, ruining the cells and killing Erika, the scientists daughter. A few years later, as he continues working on the experiment, he then has the idea of fusing his daughters DNA into that of the plant as to preserve her life. Little did he suspect that Scientist Kazuhito Kirishima and Lieutenant Goro Gondo of the JSDF are using the Godzilla cells they collected and experimenting with to create "Anti-Nuclear Energy Bacteria", hoping it can serve as a weapon against Godzilla should it return. And when he does inevitably return, they then put their plan into motion, only to, not so surprisingly, backfire and cause even more mayhem, leaving it up to our favorite radioactive lizard to save the day. So like I said earlier, this whole film and Biollante herself, like with a few other Godzilla films out there including the Monsterverse, are a classic cautionary tale of man screwing with nature in an ironic attempt to safeguard humanity only for it to backfire so spectacularly. To quote Ken Watanabe from Godzilla, "The arrogance of man is thinking nature is in their control, and not the other way around."
Which of course leads us to how Micheal Dougherty could write this into the Monsterverse. Like, if this were to be fairly similar to how it was originally done in Godzilla vs. Biollante, maybe it could be sometime years after the events of Godzilla: King of the Monsters as a former Monarch scientist who wants to disprove the philosophies of Monarch after a tragic incident involving a loved one dying at the hands of the titans by creating a titan of his very own made from fusing plant DNA with that of Godzilla's as to be able to control it as to prevent any further catastrophes. I think this can also work too in not only once again fitting into the theme of man vs. nature, but that it shows that Monarch's current philosophy can also have certain consequences to them as well, so much so that sometimes letting nature do what it thinks is right for the greater good has pros and cons as well. But, this is just my thought of how this could fit in naturally. What are your guy's thoughts? Comment below and as always, I'm King Gargantuas and I'll see y'all next time.

I appreciate the link. It definitely felt like his way of incorporating her into the Monsterverse felt rather similar to how her origins were done in her movie way back when. I guess my article was more focused on how she would fit in more thematically rather than how she would be incorporated. I probably should've tried harder to make that more clear. Thanks anyway.

First of all, thanks Chris for linking my topic. Really shows your support of my series :).

And King Gargantuas, you did a great job at explaining the thematical part of Biollante so don't think that you didn't try hard enough. Also, yeah I can see what you meant by saying that my story was a lot like the original. It was less of a How to include and more of a How to modernize though I think all of my topics could be called out on that.

Long live the king...
