MemberBaragonSep-24-2019 7:18 PMI know what you think when you first the title.
But let me explain
They are both the last of their kind, which brings a similarity. They also have many things in common, like Kong keeps the Skull-Crawlers from killing everything due to their hypermetabolism, and Godzilla is keeping the peace, now making sure that they are not attacking any major cities.
They're both protectors
But how are they going to form that bond?
Kong parents resting place
Kong can't leave Skull Island, and with the Skull Crawlers trying to leave the Island to hunt due to Ghidorah Alpha Call, he sure as hell can't now. Meaning Godzilla is going to come to him.
Now during the middle fight, cause they aren't going to kill each other, due to the most likely option of Mecha-Ghidorah, MechaGodzilla, or what I think, either Bagon or Biollante.
Kong and Godzilla are going all out, Kong using his own hands, trees, or whatever he can use as a weapon. Godzilla using his claws, jaws, tail and atomic breath. However, Godzilla using sheer brute strength knocks Kong on the floor. Godzilla charges his atomic breath until something catches his attention. It was Kong's parent's bones, and he locks up. Kong, taking the opportunity, gets up, and attacks him. However, Godzilla is just like stone, just still, not doing anything to defend. Kong, noticing that he's not attacking, and looks in the same direction where Godzilla was looking, and see's his parents remains. Godzilla looks at Kong and puts the pieces together. Kong is the last of his kind and also survived the Great Extinction of his species. And if he lived this long, it means that he mostly killed the one that Killed his kind. Kong is thinking of the same thing and then looks at Godzilla. Then another roar is heard, leading them to forge an alligenace to stop the threat.
It's just a theory though.

MemberRodanSep-24-2019 7:36 PMInteresting, I doubt that the Monsterverse would do it though. They're taking a pretty "realistic" approach to the Kaiju, more like the Showa era than, say, the Hesei era where this would have been quite possible.
If people weren't lazy, we wouldn't try to be efficient. If we weren't efficient, we'd never get anything done.

MemberRodanSep-24-2019 8:40 PMBrothers forever then I guess.
Godzilla and Kongo the dynamic duo!
I can see it.
Zwei Wing is the best singing duo. Change my mind.

MemberGiganSep-25-2019 4:35 AMYeah, Kong being an Alpha Titan would be more of a rival to Godzilla than an ally. The only reason why Mothra was Godzilla's ally was do to her kind being "married" to his species through a symbiotic cooperation

MemberBaragonSep-25-2019 4:36 AMUnfortunately, I don't think this will be the case. In the official novelization for KOTM, I believe it has a part where it explains how Kong is extremely pissed off at the other kaiju for nearing his territory, especially since he isn't the only alpha predator out there. (I haven't read up to that part yet, but I know something along those lines is explained.)

MemberAnguirusSep-25-2019 6:22 AMI would like to see that happen, though it might not.

MemberTitanosaurusSep-25-2019 6:44 AMITS CALLED GODZILLA VS. KONG,or is it Godzilla And Kong Teaming up?
Sorry for being rude, but i understand, but if they are a team, the movie Godzilla Vs. Kong is not what people expected,or you can say that Godzilla defeats Kong, and Kong wants to team up with Godzilla.

MemberBaragonSep-25-2019 4:36 PMYeah, it's an idea though. I probably don't expect this to happen, due to, like GojiFanPact said,Kong being pissed off that the titans are coming near Skull Island
