MemberMothra LarvaeFeb-28-2020 6:57 AMWell, I can think of at least one way I bet many of you might like.
This is conjecture, fan-fic fodder; a "this is how I'd do it" rap, but I'm gonna keep it short and sweet for ya's.
Let's say G has been overwhelmed by some unnamed threat, extraterrestrial maybe, and makes a sacrifice play to save Kong from the same fate, giving him a chance to defeat the enemy. Bye Godzilla.
BUT, not before we've been introduced to Godzilla's EGG. That's right baby! Kong defeats the unnamed threat, TWO next gen baby G's are born, and, remembering G's kindness toward him at the end, a battered Uncle Kong is left to raise the infants himself.
Last bit; I have a mental image I might draw, or that anyone else here is welcome to if so inspired, of one baby G, a boy, with super powerful Atomfire blasts that Uncle Kong can employ like a weapon mounted on his forearm or shoulder(!). The other infant could be female; very smart and very fast with a distinctly different dorsal spine design than her brother.
SO, if daddy G must die, then I think a sequel to G vs Kong should feature twin baby G's as part of Kong's family to keep his legacy alive.
Hope y'all have enjoyed my sharing this crazy idea.
See ya around!

MemberMothra LarvaeFeb-28-2020 11:23 PMI pictured the juveniles more like this. Alpha baby came out a bit large.

MemberTitanosaurusFeb-29-2020 10:30 AMI'm not too keen on this idea, if I can be perfectly honest.

MemberMothra LarvaeFeb-29-2020 11:36 AMAlways be honest brother, plus it'll almost certainly never happen onscreen.
Just me searching for a way to take something as horrible as the possibility of losing G and turning it into a cool new way for him to live on.
Ain't gonna work for everybody. but me likey!

MemberMothra LarvaeFeb-29-2020 2:18 PMWell, I would rather the Female be bigger than the male of the species when it comes to Titanus Gojira. however i feel kong is going to be a bad monster based on the cave painting at the end of KOM which i will include a link to my post of it. the thing is for most titan species ITS VERY VERY HARD TO KILL TITANUS GOJIRA. the false king dropped Godzilla from orbit and he survived the fall and healed from his injuries in about 3-10 minutes (never timed it) that' wolverine and Deadpool level healing speed. however, the only way I see this working is if Godzilla is poisoned with ANEB.

MemberGodzillaFeb-29-2020 3:59 PMI actually like the idea but I think it could cause confusion. I saw no hints from the last 3 movies to suggest this could happen. I personally would let it ride but other harder core fans would likely hate it. 1998 had a similar scenario and I think it even happened way back with a movie I never saw from the 1960s- Son of Godzilla?

MemberMothra LarvaeFeb-29-2020 11:21 PMI'm pretty sure the past two incarnations of Godzilla's "sons" (Son of G and G vs Mecha-G 2) were both instances of eggs of Godzilla's same species being discovered and G bonding with the juveniles by instinct, not because he was the one who actually laid the eggs. That's what I meant too.
Zilla was the only one to start laying eggs himself.

AdminGodzillaMar-01-2020 12:28 AMdk,
Toho has long since confirmed the egg on Sollgel Island was simply the egg of another of the same species. Godzilla just adopted him.
The same goes for the egg in the Heisei continuity.
