Yes the debate between Godzilla and rival studio Monster icon Gamera have been going on since the 60s, but this thread will look to compare specifically the Monsterverse Godzilla incarnation against the Heisei era Gamera. If the two were ever to do battle, which do you think would come out victorious? Monsterverse's Godzilla lacks some of the more powerful abilities his Toho brethren possess. Do you think he could stand toe-to-toe with the mighty Gamera? Sound off below and let us know your thoughts!

Heisei Gamera is cool, but Godzilla is cooler.

Plus Heisei Gamera was only 60 meters tall, while the MonsterVerse Godzilla is 120 meters tall and is much stronger, so Godzilla has more of an advantage.

Actually Hesei Gamera has a decent chance now that I think of it. It would probably drain the earths Mana though

Legendary Godzilla is better than Gamera but i think Gamera wins.

Godzilla. He has more advantage in this battle. But I have never seen a single Gamera movie so don't take my word for it..

Well, Hesei gamera is really strong now that I think of it. He essentially has the same purpose as MV Godzilla in MV. Being a protector of the balance of nature

Indeed. Monsterverse Godzilla certainly has more in common with Heisei Gamera than he does Godzilla. I often find there to be a lot of similarities between the two "trilogies" as it were.
