Dedicate respect to Heisei special effects movies
The era of "Heisei". The era of prosperity and decline, such as the bursting of the economic bubble, the spread of the Internet, and earthquakes, was the era we lived in, the Heisei era. "Special effects movies" were greatly influenced by them, and various works were made. In addition, this work is part of the "Emi (Megumi) Odaka Anniversary Project" commemorating the 35th anniversary of the debut of Emi Odaka, an actress who made a spectacular debut in 1987 and was active in "Heisei special effects", and the movie "HOSHI 35". will be Kodaka's first live-action film appearance in about 28 years, which will conclude the commemorative project.
The movie "HOSHI 35" will be screened at Ikebukuro HUMAX Cinemas and others from October 2023.

It's from this place, if you wanted to read more.

It is in fact real. The movie is directed by Hiroto Yokokawa who did other indie kaiju flicks such as The Great Buddha Arrival and Nezura 1964. The latter of which is available to watch for free on Tubi.
He also submitted a short film via Gemstone for a contest Toho was holding. But GvG won out. You can watch it here: Hedorah's Silent Spring
I'm honestly not a big fan of his work so I'm not particularly expecting much from Hoshi 35. He's grabbed former Godzilla stars for his movies before, but they've added very little value.

Okay, thank you, I kind-of found this film pointless, though.

pointless?
I am going to bleedin explode.

MonsterX11 Is literally the one who started the topic.
They can find it pointless if they want

if they found it pointless why did they ctrl+c ctrl+v an entire section of an article of of some rando website about some rando indie film just so that he can go into the comments of they're own topic to say that its pointless?

I think he was speaking to the Hedorah's Silent Spring short.

he could have been referring to hoshi-35 or hedorahs silent spring,
we can only know if ask,em!

They don’t have to like the short. They just asked about if the short was real.

Like finding something disappointing after asking about it is not a crime
