Yet another Godzilla pachinko game is hitting Japan and once again Godzilla is fighting NERV's legendary weapons. The new trailer, entitled "G Cells Awakening", features footage where Godzilla transforms Unit-01 into a Godzilla hybrid in order to fight King Ghidorah. Take a look at the Godzilla vs. Evangelion pachinko trailer below:
In spite of using the 1991 design, this iteration of King Ghidorah seems to be an angel, having a "core" organ in his chest. EVA Unit-01 and Godzilla appear to be teaming up against the three headed monster. Meanwhile the Unit-01 hybrid design seems to be based off of the X-Plus figure released in 2020:
This is not the first time Godzilla and the Evangelion units have come to blows on screen. The franchises first crossed over in the Universal Studios Japan attraction, Godzilla vs. Evangelion: The Real 4-D. You can watch footage from that clash below. (Attraction video begins at 6:00.)
Be on the lookout for more updates and footage from the upcoming game.
