The upcoming Monsterverse Monarch TV series being developed for Apple TV will have a heavy connection to Gareth Edwards' Godzilla (2014). Not only that, the series will reportedly introduce Monsterverse fans to new Titans and locations not yet explored in the movies! There's also talk of a Human character cameo fans are sure to appreciate, as well as a return of old Titans!

The series is being described as more of a really, really long movie, rather than episodic installments. Reporter K-D-M urges viewers not to judge the series on an episode by episode basis, but that the series is structured much like a film, with a proper introduction, middle and finale.

Despite the series referencing and taking place in and around Gareth Edwards' Godzilla movie, Edwards is apparently not involved at all.
