Below are two unused concepts for the Winged MUTO (or the male MUTO) from Godzilla 2014. Artwork was done by concept artist Matt Allsopp during the pre-production phase for Legendary Pictures' Godzilla. I agree Kaijujira, this design looks amazing!!!  But I'm still happy with the design they showed in the movie.

I really liked the look but the design looks like Toruk Makto from James Cameron Avatar.

That would have been awesome!

But now that I see it, I agree with @NextGojiraKing93, It does look a lot like those creatures...

...man, these guys need to get original ideas...

At first also Toruk Matjo was in my mind, and also the Changyuraptor, Spino, is really dificult ''create'' any credible creature, since fans have more knowledge about the physic laws and the nature designs, they will critic anything out of the real possibilties, sadly nowdays all in movies must be credible like if they were going to be real creatures, so I think they have not a lot from where to choose.

Allsop's work has always been great. The first design/image looks really menacing; would have became a real threat against Bear/dogzilla.

Thought the designs used in the movie were uninspired at best. Maybe is was based on budget > rendering less detail.
