MemberMothra LarvaeSep-07-2013 8:00 PMOK, so have you even been at a point or points of (insert Godzilla Film or Films here) and thought it could've been better? Or simply, how would you have done (insert Godzilla Film here)? Well, here's the thread for that! Now, since ''re-do'' or "remake" can be an odd term, I want to define what it will mean in this thread: you can either remake a Film by trying to fix the Film (Ex. Giving Godzilla Final Wars better characters and a good plot) or it could mean reproducing an already made film with top of the line budget and giving it a little help where it needs it (Ex. Godzilla VS Destroyah having some better effects, but remaining the same). So, what are your thoughts, people? Got any opinions you wanna dish out?
For me as stated above, I would've re-done Godzilla Final Wars and give it FAR better characters, better Plot, better dialogue, better effects, better everything, etc. Here's also my Roster for the film:
-Godzilla
-Monster-X / Keizer Ghidorah
-Megalon (redesigned like Gigan)
-Gigan
-Orga
-Megaguirus
-King Cesar (who takes over the role of Mothra)
-Kamacuras
-Kumonga
-Varan
-Zilla / GINO
-Ebirah
-Hedorah (with WAY more screen time)
-Anguirus
-Rodan
Aside from that, there's really not much to change from, but I would've appreciated if Toho let Kaneko do his original idea for GMK, and use Varan and Anguirus instead of the overused King Ghidorah and Mothra, though I would've preferred Bagan in King Ghidorah's role and instead of Anguirus.

MemberMothra LarvaeSep-09-2013 3:14 AMOkay, lets see what would be best to change? Oh yes, NO ZILLA IN FINAL WARS. But if i choose the same of the OP this thread would get boring, so im gonna go with...Godzilla against MechaGodzilla/Tokyo SOS. The changes are gonna be the same in both movies
Okay, first of all Kiryu would need a redesign, to make it look more like the heisei version.
Second, the entire Godzilla-soul shit should be removed.
Godzilla`s design should have stayed the same as the Godzilla VS Megaguirus design, and it should also follow the storyline.
Beyond that, i have no problems.
It should've been a direct sequel to Tokyo SOS. The Xilliens use mind control to use the monsters Rodan, Anguirus, Titanosaurus, Kumonga, Kamacarus, Varan, Baragon, Zilla, Gorosaurus, Manda, Ebirah, and Maguma (Gorath is in it, so why not Maguma too?). The Xilliens "capture" the monsters to "protect" the Earth. They warn the Earth of a large meteor called "Gorath". The same stuff in between that happened in the actual movie happens here, too, and they betray Earth and unleash all the monsters along with a few of their own: MechaGodzilla (they got the idea from observing Earth over the past 2 years), Hedorah, Gigan, Megalon, and remember Godzilla's DNA the GDF had at the end of Tokyo SOS? The Xillians stole it to create SpaceGodzilla. All this crazyness wakes Godzilla up from the bottom of the ocean. Godzilla fights the Earth monsters and breaks them free of the Xilliens control. They help Godzilla (along with a new mech created by the GDF called "Moguera") defeat the Xillien monsters, though Zilla, Ebirah, Kamacarus, Maguma, and Moguera were all killed by the Xillien monsters. Soon the Gorath meteor closes in on Earth but Godzilla stops it with his atomic breath and another monster appears; King Ghidorah! The Mothra larvas (from the previous film) join the fray, knowing how dangerous KG is, and Gigan appears again, repaired and upgraded (with chainsaws ) by the Xilliens. Varan, Baragon and the Mothra larvas fight and kill Gigan, while Godzilla, Anguirus, Rodan, Kumonga, Gorosaurus, and Titanosaurus battle King Ghidorah (NOT Kaizer Ghidorah) and MechaGodzilla (the only one, besides Gigan, who wasn't previously defeated). The Xilliens are defeated, the Earth kaiju return to their habitats, and the world is at peace once again.
