So from recent news of NECA and SH Monsterarts releasing godzilla figures, I have seen people have strong oppinions about monsterarts, mainly they will definately be buying that line and not NECA's figure.

For me I don't really agree with this and was wondering, what will people be buying when theyre released?

Personally, I think I will definately be buying the NECA one, first of all, its a lot more affordable than SH Monsterarts (well Im from the UK so Im not entirely sure about the money side of different countries)
NECA's figures might not have as much articulation as monsterarts but theyre bigger, and with the NECA 2014 G being twice as tall, thats definately a must for me (But then again, the price might double too...)
and if monsterarts made a figure twice as big, the price would be a lot more higher.

But yeah, what will people be buying?

i have two sh ma figure g94 and g64 but i'd probably get the neca, because unlike sh ma, you can probably get neca godzilla figure in places like toys r us, especially in the uk were it is hard to get sh figures

We'll I'm getting both I already have every S.H.Monsterarts figure except Mothra, Biollante, Battra, and Godzilla 2000.   I'm going to try to get my hands on very type of figure NECA and S.H.Monsterarts reveal.   But in my opinion I would get the monsterarts if the articulation is good and the figure doesn't have to many problems.

The SH Monsterarts figures are pretty unparalleled when it comes to articulated Kaiju toys. NECA on the other hand has a reputation for limited articulation due to having more focus on a detailed sculpt. Both have pros and cons.

I would very much recommend comparing the SH Monsterarts Xenomorph to the NECA Xenomorph, as both were released within the last few months.

I will probably buy both, but beware that both NECA and Monsterarts have had serious quality control issues in the past. Many a Monsterarts Ghidorah had broken wings right out of the box, and their 94 Goji's Jaw is a little funky. And NECA's TF2 line is notorious for falling apart right out of the package, not being able to hold their weapons, poor paint applicaitons, etc.

Ultimately it comes down to personal preference and how much you want to pay. Monsterarts generally run from around 45 to as much as 130 dollars (or over 200 in Biollante's case), while NECA figures rarely go over 20 bucks. Ultimately you get what you pay for.
