So I was thinking, how much durability will the 2014 Godzilla have? We've all seen in the past Godzilla movies that he is extremely resistant to mostly everything the military throws at him, especially the Heisei Godzilla. Even in the IDW comics, Godzilla took a freaking nuke to the face, and all it did was mutate him further, giving him the access to the atomic ray. But in the "Whatever it takes" TV spot, the last shot shows Godzilla getting bombarded with missiles, and they seem to do some damage to him, or at the very least piss him off. So I have to ask you guys, with Gareth saying that this movie will be realistic, can Godzilla only take so much damage before he finally suc***bs?
Be yourself, for everyone else is taken.

Yeah, I feel like Godzilla will not be invincible in this movie. And that's probably for the best. Invincible characters really kill suspense.
Godzilla surviving nukes I think has more to do with the fact that he feeds on radiation rather than he's able to survive that kind of force. So the damage from the bomb gets cancelled out by the nuclear radiation healing him or growing him or something.
However, if you hit Godzilla with a nuclear sized blast that came from something OTHER than a nuclear bomb, at least in this movie, it totally would kill him. Unfortunately for the humans, no such weapon exists.....other than the MUTO perhaps? :-)
Anyways, yeah, Godzilla is still going to be hella durable I think in this movie. But I think our weapons will do at least some damage.

I suspect we'll be seeing a much more mortal rendition of the King of the Monsters.
Madison says it all.

I have a feeling that he is not going to be invincible cause Gareath Edwards wants to make this movie as realistic as possible but I can guarantee that he will be super badass.
