Something Real
MemberGodzillaMay-16-2014 2:16 AMHello there. My sister recently purchased the Godzilla (2014) Original Soundtrack for me as an early birthday present. We're twins, so I told her I'd burn her a copy as her gift from me! ;) Regardless, I've listened to the music many times over, unacompanied by the the phenominal sound present within the film. I've even used a Music Maker program to isolate various pieces of certain tracks to hear them more clearly, to wit the subtle undertones that flow beneath the primary strings, brass and woodwinds. The soft piano and synthesizer notes that occasionally ripple through the score like deep currents in an ocean are utterly beautiful! Desplat has, in my opinion, created a marvelous score for a remarkable monster. However, what do you feel on this subject? Do you believe the film's music suited what was presented upon the screen? As always, your thoughts and conjecture with regards to this topic are most appreciated, even if you choose to keep them to yourself. :)
