MemberTitanosaurusJun-11-2014 7:37 AMI have a theory about Godzilla's Burning form. My theiry is that it was inevitable. Godzilla was already increasing in power. Perhaps eventually he would have obtained his Burning form in a more natural matter instead of being forced into it by the radioactive destruction of Birth Island. If Godzilla unlocked his Burning form under his own power, and wasn't forced into it, perhaps Godzilla wouldn't have died from it. Godzilla can change the intensity of his Atomic Breath, turning it from Neon Blue to Fluorescent Red to Spiral Fluorescent Red. Perhaps Godzilla Burning form is natural, to help him increase his overall strength.
I have another theory. Spacegodzilla can obtain a Burning form similar to Godzilla. Think about it. Spacegodzilla is closer to being a perfect clone of Godzilla than Biollante. He shares more similarities to Godzilla. It makes sense for him to have a Burning form. Spacegodzilla summons crystals, which he uses to absorb energy. Spacegodzilla is constantly absorbing energy from outside sources to make himself stronger. It really is only a matter of time before that malicious beast starts firing a "Spiral Corona Beam" and have fire symbols all over his body. Tell me that it doesn't make sense for Spacegodzilla to not have a Burning form? Can you imagine Burning Godzilla fighting a Burning Spacegodzilla? The battle would be epic. There be more destruction than from the battle with Destoroyah and the final fights with Gigan and Monster X/Keizer Ghidorah.

AdminGodzillaJun-11-2014 11:27 AMI don't see "Burning Godzilla" as a form of power, ala, Super Saiyan. I don't think it was ever intended to be that way. I look at Godzilla's Burning "form" more as a medical condition; in this case a fatal one. Being overpowered was simply a side effect of that medical condition. His body couldn't handle the power overload, hence all the glowing patches and the fact he stayed in the ocean to cool off for the majority of the movie.
Looking at it like an unlockable form of power makes it seem less interesting and more like a video game cliche where players and beasts "level up".

MemberTitanosaurusJun-11-2014 11:54 AMTrue, very true GMAN2887. Your statement has given me another thought. What if it was a common illnes amongst the Godzilla species? A natural disease to control the population of many Giant Monsters like Godzilla back in the prehistoric past. There is an interesting thought.

AdminGodzillaJun-11-2014 12:11 PMI think it was something new. If it were a common illness Prehistoric Earth would've been blown up over and over again once "Burning" members of the species exploded. Plus, the Heisei Godzilla's origin is wildly different from the 1954 Godzilla. Whereas the Heisei Godzilla was a mutated dinosaur (Godzillasaurus) the 1954 Godzilla was simply a creature that had always existed and survived bomb tests.
There's no way to know if the 1954 Godzilla had any radioactive properties before he was awoken. And it's likely the Godzillasaurus didn't either. Godzilla's condition in vs. Destoroyah was the ramification of an assumption that Godzilla was impervious to all radioactivity-- But his Burning form was an indication that even Godzilla has limits and can also fall victim to an overdose of radioactivity.

MemberBaragonJun-11-2014 5:40 PMWell the heisei Godzilla was subjected to more radiation than an average Godzilla ever would be. He had the nuclear sub in GvsKG, then absorbed Rodan's energy in GvsMGII, absorbed SpaceGodzilla's power in GvsSG and finally the destruction of birth island,'s uranium deposites exploding. So if Space Godzilla was subjected to that kind of radiation on a regular basis I guess he could develope into a burning SpaceGodzilla, but it wouldn't be through natural means.
