True American Godzilla
MemberMothra LarvaeJul-02-2014 9:05 PMIn the Classic Toho Series, King Ghidorah was portrayed as the archrival to Godzilla on numerous occasions. Typical abilities for Ghidorah are: Flight; Golden Scale Armor; Tail end is split in two; lightning attacks; and of course three heads with which to attack/bite with.
The strongest of the Ghidorah was Keizer Ghidorah from Final Wars. He was a four-legged design, lightning double as Gravity Beams, and the mouths were energy draining (had to penetrate hide though).
Now the MUTOs had a tough armor themselves, so much that the Atomic Breath caused them pain but not enough to do a killing blow. The Winged Muto, despite being weaker than the Female, was strong enough to actually lift a Nuclear Submarine! The Female, though shorter and not as muscled as the American Godzilla, regularly went claw-to-claw with the king. Their EMP works great to counter electricity, like keeping Godzilla from igniting the Atomic Breath with electricity (well, the male did at least).
The MUTOs do have one thing on their record that no Ghidorah has ever achieved, they killed a Godzilla. IN the story, and movie, their sacs were found inside the bones of another Godzilla. Granted, one MUTO isn't powerful enough to stand up to a Godzilla but two were almost as tough as the Monster Monarch.
So in a battle with the two MUTOs vs Keizer Ghidorah, who would win? Well, Ghidorah is much stronger physically than a MUTO, but not as agile. The MUTOs would keep Keizer from using his electrical beams, forcing a melee battle. Now Keizer still has the draining bite, but I'm not sure how well he'd get through the MUTO armor to actually drain a MUTO. This battle would be very close, sadly I don't think we will see this in a movie.

MemberBaragonJul-02-2014 9:30 PMThe mutos never are said to have killed a Godzilla in the movie. Actually it's clearly established Godzilla is the alpha predator in that world.
I'd go with Ghidorah

MemberAnguirusJul-02-2014 9:38 PMI would say Ghidorah although the MUTOs are awesome creatures, and as DURPOO said, that dead Godzilla on the Phillipines couldve been killed by another monster, yet again 2 MUTOs can kill Godzilla but still I go with KING Ghidorah not Keizer. I just dont like Keizer for some reason

MemberMothra LarvaeJul-03-2014 12:48 AMJust as stated above, the Muto did not kill a Godzilla. Those bones were a creature "Like" him. Godzilla was the apex predator in the new movie. As for the question, Damn I don't know. Those Muto were strong, then again the female to a blast from Godzilla's atomic breath at a weakened power. If you look carefully after Godzilla kills the last Muto, all of the lights in the city turned back on. If you see the breaking news regarding her after she walked through Vegas, the t.v. shows an electro magnetic field that exceeds a great radius.
The male had to "shoot" the EMP, while the female already gave off the pulse just as she walked. I assume that these species of ancient parasites addapted to Godzilla and developed that organic EMP in order to counter Godzilla's atomic breath, thus making it less effective which is probably why Godzilla decided to give her the kiss of death.
Keizer Ghidorah faught a Godzilla that is very different from Legendary's Godzilla, give or take their similarities. Legendary's godzilla was much bigger. In height and bulk when compared to Final Wars Godzilla. Legendary Godzilla also showed much greater strenght and power. Bringing a tsunami, taking nukes, and completely un-touched by missles

MemberMothra LarvaeJul-03-2014 12:56 AM- The new Godzilla is much more animalistic and forcefula with its attacks. Including faster. The only downside I can see is that his atomic breath was weakened while fighting the Mutos while Final Wars Godzilla was able to use his at full capacity. But he also needed help to take Ghidorah out by being given energy from that Giant spaceship sphere thing.
So if both the male and femal Muto fought King Gidorah or Keizer Ghidorah, I'd say that their batlle with 2014 Godzilla and the hard time they gave hime pushes me to say that they have a high chance at victory. I wouldn't even say that they tie considering its two on one. I love Ghidorah much more than the Mutos, but I could not see the Toho Ghidorah even stand a chance against the Legendary Godzilla..So Id say he could put up a good fight against the Mutos. Possibly even kill one. But to fight both consistently..He might get overpowered. You see the females left hook? God damn!

MemberAnguirusJul-03-2014 12:58 AM@Akio123, not sure if your referring to me, but I said it is possible for 2 MUTOs to kill a Godzilla. If your not referring to me, then you pretty much made some accurate statements, except that LegendaryGoji showed "much greater strength", yeah LegendaryGoji is pretty strong and bulky, but in pwer i would say their even, and im pretty sure FW can take the same damage Legendary took, but maybe FW would be a bit harmed by the Permian Extinction

MemberMothra LarvaeJul-03-2014 1:10 AM@GODZILLA316, sorry I meant the guy above you. Man I really wish I could edit my post. The spelling errors are horrid :( Anyway, I do believe G14 showed a much greater durability than FW Goji, so I'm sure he must be stronger only in my opinion. G14 survived the extinction and nukes. All of that in between was millions apon millions of years. Wasn't FW Goji stuck in ice? Yet those Muto did enough damage to keep him down for a few minutes. I guess it'd be a very close fight between Ghidorah and the Muto. They were vicious yet, they also looked out for each other. Then again, Ghidorah has three heads! I just put my money on both of the Muto, sadly.

MemberMothra LarvaeJul-03-2014 2:57 AMJust thought I should let you guys know that the mutos did in fact kill godzillas in their natrual habitat, they hunted them down in packs, killed them brutally and laid their eggs inside their radioactive corpses. It's all in the art book...

MemberGiganJul-03-2014 6:30 AMI'd have to say a tie. Ghidorah would kill both MUTOs, but succumb to his wounds after.

MemberMothra LarvaeJul-03-2014 3:43 PMI don't really think killing a Legendary Godzilla (in a group, at least) is that much of a huge accomplishment. He's really more of a giant, indestructible animal that a giant, indestructible monster; he can get tired, his hide can be pierced by other giant animals, and he can be seriously hurt or killed by enough relatively small wounds. Besides, even most Toho Godzillas have not had a great track record with fighting multiple monsters at once.
Against Keizer Ghidorah, the Mutos would not do so well. I mean, this monster curbstomped Final Wars Godzilla! His gravity bolts would make short work of them and would prevent them from getting close enough to attack him in the first place, and if they did manage to get close and personal, there's not much they would be able to do against a monster that tanked FW Goji's atomic ray in his weaker form.
As for most incarnations of King Ghidorah, he can fly much faster than the male Muto probably can, he is stronger and more durable than both of them, and I doubt they could survive a barrage of gravity bolts for long. The only exception is GMK Ghidorah before being powered up by Mothra, who either Muto could probably beat solo.
