The Kaiju Chronicles, and Other Strange Tales... A New Kaiju Web Comic for GodzillaMovies.com!

Hello there, fellow G-fans! Danzilla93 here, comin’ to ya with a special announcement! :)

Well, it’s been nearly a year since I’ve joined this forum, and in that time I’ve seen many a member post their fan fics and amazing artworks to this site to share with the fans! And I’ve always wanted to be a part of that, but, despite three years as an art major, my skills in 2D art still leave much to be desired, at least in my mind!

For many years now, I’ve been itching to do some writing, be it in simple comic form or even a novel, and I’m currently working on a few things on my own time, but one idea always stuck in my head… a kaiju centric series of short web comics! Being a huge fan of Gary Larson’s The Far Side (look it up, kids…), I always wanted to something similar: put kaiju into funny, wacky, yet relatable situations. But actually DOING it, and even more importantly, DRAWING it, was an issue…

And that’s where fellow member/administrator Daikaiju_Danielle comes into play!

Prepare to have your minds blown: Daikaiju_Danielle and I have been best friends for three years, ever since meeting at G-FEST XVIII! And I don’t have to tell all of you that her artistic skills are IN-FRICKIN-CREBIBLE! We’ve been talking about collaborating on various projects for years, and finally got around to combining our skills to create… drumroll please…

THE KAIJU CHRONICLES, AND OTHER STRAINGE TALES!

This will be a series of weekly (personal schedules permitting) comics in the style and tradition of classic comic strips! (Think the Funnies… but with kaiju!) The concepts come from both of us, the dialogue comes from me, and the amazing art is created by Daikaiju_Danielle! We will be including a few different little “series” within the comic, each tacking on a different little funny story involving our favorite monsters! No monster is off limits, and no silly situation is too silly for us!

We hope that you will enjoy reading (and hopefully laughing along with) these comics as much as Danielle and I have enjoyed creating them together! :)

So, without further ado, here is our first comic!
