I have collected a few neca figures prior to their godzilla announcment and they were all in the 8 inch scale and i was hopeing for 8 inch godzilla figures and that was what i was dissapointed about. Because i think we had gotten enough 6 inch godzilla figures vinyl, monsterarts dominate the 6 inch market and i was excited when they announced that they were going to make neca godzilla figure to fight neca pacific rim figures. So, do you think neca should have made 8 inch godzilla figures?

MemberMothra LarvaeJul-23-2015 6:38 PMI think NECA was aware that most Godzilla figures were in the six-inch scale, and that therefore most fans' collections predominantly consisted of six-inch figures, so they decided to make their Godzilla figures in the same scale so they could fit in better with fans' existing collections. I'm honestly fine with that because I don't have any eight-inch scale figures in my collection, and the NECA figures fit in nicely with my other six-inch figures. I suppose it would have been a nice change of pace to have some affordable well-detailed eight-inch figures available in the West for once, but I'm not too broken-up about it.
