~I am so psyched to see him in this new film!!!

AdminGodzillaJan-05-2019 2:07 PMY'know, of the early Showa movies I've always found this one to be a tad overrated. My heresy normally revolves around how out of touch I am with the characters.
But I do have a lot of respect for it. Tsuburaya's effects were incredible and I do appreciate watching Honda's take on going through horrifying trauma.
I like the movie, it's just not one of my favorites.

My main gripe with the 2014 movie, though I did enjoy it, was not little Godzilla screen time, but that we had boring characters between the little amount of screen time. The only interesting characters in 2014 were Joe and Serizawa, but they were barely in it, instead we had boring old ford. The slow buildup in Rodan is a lot more bareable because we had interesting characters to follow and we were able to get some action with the giant bugs.

It's one of my all-time faves and Rodan deserving more attention and respect is long, long overdue, so all praise to the KOTM team for making him a part of the roster.
