It is a jet called the ARGO, at it's purpose is to lead Rodan to King Ghidorah
Zwei Wing is the best singing duo. Change my mind.

At it least it looks more aerodynamic than Super Xs in the Heisei series. Don't get me wrong, I like the Super X design in the Heisei series, but no way it could have flown with such an unaerodynamic design.

Unless the Super X had magnetic levitation or jet propulsion, the Super X would literally be useless.

The original Super X was an advance hover craft. Jet propulsion got it to move forward, while the turbines could shift to reverse.
There's less availability on the Super X2's specs, but it was technically no faster than the Super X. (Both could reach mach 1.) However, it looks like the Super X2 had the same configuration for flight, with the exception of carrying four extra hover turbines. I've heard they were added to compensate for the weight of the Fire-Mirror, but can't find a source for it.
The Super X3 was based on the Northrop heavy bomber and, like the Northrop, is powered by jet propulsion. However, it's more heavily armored and much faster. (Mach 1.7.) It should be noted that G-Force had been using technology from 2204 up to this point though.

G. H. (Gman): Yeah, although I've never seen a hovercraft that far from the ground, usually only a few inches off the ground/water at most. But best not to over-think this. Real-life physics can take a back seat to cinematic...cool appearance. ;)

I did say "advance" hovercraft. This is a franchise with impossibly giant monsters afterall.

I honestly did think that the ARGO was some sort of Monsterverse Super-X at before they said that it was called the "ARGO"

Hey as long as you have enough thrust and surface area to provide lift, "looking" like it's aerodynamic isn't necessary !
