Why a Marvel Godzilla Movie Should Not Happen & Why it should5,924 Views3 RepliesAdd A Reply
Ever since the comics were run in the 1970s, fans have been asking for a crossover between Goji and Marvel. I personally do not like the idea of this happening. I will however recognize both sides and explain why it should and Shouldn’t happen.
Shouldn’t -Avengers. No this is a terrible idea. This fight would be interesting but would destroy what Godzilla is. Humans are not supposed to punch of fight him. We get involved and pull a few strings but that’s it. I do not want to see big G get beat up by super powered ants.
Should - Publicity. This would make Godzilla more of an asset for money than he currently is, if the movie is successful.
Shouldn’t - Disney. I never want to see Goji fall into Disney’s hands. Seeing him in children’s media isn’t always bad, but it could destroy him as an Icon.
Should - Seeing him fight marvel kaiju. We can see him fight new monsters which is always a plus. Marvel has some interesting Kaiju as well.
Shouldn’t - No one else. If this crossover was to happen, Marvel is not likely to try and buy the rights of other Toho monsters. So no more Ghidorah or Mothra or Rodan.
Shouldn’t - End of Monsterverse. This would result in the end of Monsterverse, and we won’t see the rest of the Titans. It could also end the developing Shinverse on Japan’s side.
I didn’t want to be excessive, so I ended it here. If you have anything to say about this topic, your opinion is welcome.
I remember I made a topic similar to this but I feel you dude. I think the only Marvel hero that could face Goji would be Scott Lang but as Giant-Man.
I think Godzilla would kick everybody's ass (at least if I was directing said crossover because screw over-powered humans/human-like beings)
But yeah I agree, if Disney got a hold of the godzilla franchise and crossed it with Marvel, the kaiju would become a joke and ruin the charm of the godzilla franchise.
