Jared Krichevsky, the designer of Godzilla vs. Kong's Mechagodzilla has agreed to answer some questions from the community here on Scified/Godzilla-Movies.com! I will be submitting a number of my own questions for him to answer as well as questions from our members here. If you have any questions for Jared, his work on Godzilla vs. Kong and his Mechagodzilla design, submit them below! I will be submitting the questions next week so don't wait to post your questions below!

Here's my question: Which of the previous incarnations of MechaGodzilla (if any) was the biggest point of reference/inspiration?
Long live the king...

here’s my question. how does it feel to have worked on two versions of mechagodzilla over these past few years and which is your favorite mechagodzilla incarnation.

Alright, here's my question, Which Mechagodzilla is your absolute favorite version of the character? (Ref Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla 1974 + Terror, Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla II, or Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla/Tokyo S.O.S) and if you had the opportunity, would you design other monsters for the Monsterverse in the future?

It was super cool to be able to see a new take on mechagodzilla but I do have one question. Which era's mechagodzilla was the main inspiration for the new one.

What was to the inspiration in creating mechagodzilla and where did you get your inspiration from do u have many design of mechagodzilla it's self

One question, every single MechaGodzilla looks like Godzilla, and not like a giant tank or airship. Other than the name, why do you think Apex built the Mecha G to look like godzilla

By far my favorite incarnation of Mechagodzilla, this more of a minor question, but how long has the design been around for? I noticed the copyright date on some of the concept art was as far back as 2015 unless I misread. Do any more unused designs of him exist?

Here's my question. What was it like seeing your version of Mechagodzilla on screen? Did you have any favorite moments concerning our silver monster king? And what did you use for the sound coming from Mechagodzilla's eye?

when it came to designing MG, which of the previous incarnations did you look at for reference the most? and by chance did you guys have a glance at the newer interpretations? (EX the anime mechaG or even taken some notes from your time designing the Ready player one MechaGodzilla!?)

Do you feel satisfied with your final design or would you go back and change it if you could? (I know I'm satisfied)

Did the Jaegers from Pacific Rim play any part in the design and in the movements like the rockets on his back to make him turn and boost his movement like Gipsy Dangers elbow rocket

I must say, this incarnation might be my favorite yet. When I first saw the outline leaked online, I thought I wouldn't like it, but low and behold, I did!
But the question: Was Destoroyah a slight inspiration for Mecha's personality? He almost acts ****y and it kind of sounds like he laughs at times. Was that intentional?

My question is what was your favorite part of making MechaGodzilla? Long Live The King #TeamGodzilla #ContinueTheMonsterverse

When watching Mechagodzilla in action I noticed that there were moments where resembled Kong whenever it was standing fully upright. Did you intentionally use elements of him when you were creating the design?

So is legendary mecha godzilla supposed to be a mash up of human, godzilla and chameleon? its awesome! because this is my favorite mecha godzilla and I love it. Do you have any news on the shma for him. Also why does mecha godzilla have **** and balls is he the giant enemey scrotum a reference to bayformers devastator? A video of mine on it 7 seconds

Was ready player one mechagodzilla the original design for mechagodzilla in the monsterverse?

What challenges did you have to face while designing the new Mechagodzilla?
"The Bigger They Are, The Harder You Fight"

So question: Is MechaGodzilla the building block for Mecha King Ghidorah in the MonsterVerse, or is something bigger coming?

Did the Mechagodzilla from ready player one inspire any parts of the design?

DUDE

I wasn’t gonna comment, But I’m surprised at the immaturity on this forum. We get an amazing opportunity to get our questions answered by the designer and this community just starts being crude.
Im serverely disappointed.

Where/How did you come up with the idea of the weapons Mechagodzilla was going to have?

I have a question. So did they build MechaGodzilla to look like Godzilla for Ghidorah to have a better frame of reference on how to control the body or does APEX have some weird jealous obsession with Godzilla going on?

Obviously only serious questions will be considered for this interview. Thank you so far to those who have submitted good questions - keep them coming!
To those few obsessed with whether or not a robot has reproductive appendages... try to find some maturity and common sense. You need to be at least 16 to use these forums and if your activity suggests to us you don't meet that requirement, we will be locking accounts.

Hi Kiefer here, i have a question, when the director gave you the role of designing mechagodzilla what came into your mind? Also was the monsterverse's mechagodzilla's design based on any japanese mechagodzilla or any specific era was it inspired on? Also why is mechagodzilla color scheme red what made you choose that color?

heres my question: did you intend for mecha,g to have more abilities aside from his rocket fists and lazer beam?
