The Re-Rewrite of Godzilla Vs. Kong

After presenting my rewrite of Godzilla: King of The Monsters, I've decided to make my own idea of where the MonsterVerse could've gone if my KOTM concept was the one to have existed.  So, I've decided to rewrite my GVK rewrite from scratch in order to be more in line with my latest rewrite.

So anyways....

Godzilla Vs. Kong (2021) - 2hrs and 50mins

The film's beginning takes place 2 years before the events of the actual movies with Alan Jonah and Walter Simmons meeting.  The eco-terrorists would have given Simmons the Ghidorah head found at the end of KOTM, so APEX could further their own plans for the Titans.  The timeline would've jumped then to the beginning scene of the actual movie and not much would be changed.  Basically that scene and the opening credits would remain unchanged.  And like in the 1st rewrite, Bernie and Josh are nixed (more on a replacement later).  So again, the Pensacola attack is more Godzilla-focused with a small scene with Ren Seriwaza thinking about how his father (Ishiro) was a bit neglectful due to his pursuit of the Titans.  And I would also keep the scene from the novelization before the attack where Mark Russell tries to convince MONARCH to evacuate Pensacola.  Anyhow, the stuff with Madison from my rewrite would mostly stay put.  But here's where I change things.  In order to make G'14 more connected with the rest of the MonsterVerse, I would include Sam Brody.  My explanation for this is that the MUTO and Godzilla fight ended up destroying part of the Brody's home with the debris and destruction caused.  So, they would move to Florida (unexplained).  There would be a small reference to that in the movie.  It would also make sense since Sam and Madison were basically the same age when the San Francisco disaster happened.  So, Madison and Sam would have a better dynamic than Josh as the two would both believe that something provoked Godzilla.  I'm not sure who I'd pick as Sam (let me know your thoughts) and the two would head to APEX.  And of course, the PTSD for Madison would remain.  And Sam would know about this, as the two would have a moment reflecting on the things that happened in both SF and Boston.  Before I go on about Team Godzilla...it's time for Team Kong.  I would have a flashback scene for what happened on the Lind Hollow Earth expedition and then have him be recruited by APEX to find the power source in Hollow Earth and Jia's flashbacks would also remain.  Nathan recruiting Ilene Andrews and Jia also remains unchanged from my rewrite.  So the ocean stuff would still be the same, except I'd make Round 1 between Godzilla and Kong more creative and have Kong try and use some of the military wreckage as ways to slow down Godzilla, but the atomic boi would still win.  The Hollow Earth stuff is basically unchanged until we get to Godzilla drilling, but we'll get to that.  So, Madison and Sam manage to sneak in basically the same way as the other Team Godzilla did and then after the Skullcrawler egg transport ride, we get the MechaGodzilla reveal which would remain mostly the same but with MechaGodzilla and the Skullcrawler fighting more and it would trigger Madison's PTSD of Boston with her snapping out of it and escaping with Sam.  Then, most of my rewrite would stay the same when it comes to the APEX turning on Team Kong.  But Kong seeing the axe triggers a small vision of the Kongs fighting the Godzillas in an ancient war.  Anyhow, the Hong Kong fight is still unchanged (rounds 2 and 3), and we'd get more Team Godzilla before Round 3.  So instead of finding Ren inside the pilot thing, Madison and Sam just see the skull of Ghidorah and the controls.  And, I'd have a small reference to MONARCH trying to connect to Titan minds (aka drifting from Pacific Rim).  So, Madison and Sam are busted and they're taken to Walter and Ren.  There's obviously some back and forth between them and Ren makes some comments about Ishiro putting the Titans over him and humanity, and Madison responds back about how she had a similar relationship with her mother (Emma) and how it's not too late for Ren to do what Madison is trying to do.  But Ren is more adamant that this is the only way.  And Walter gets the energy signature from Maya like in the OG version and the same stuff when Ren losing control of Mecha G (but instead of showing his death, I'll leave it more ambiguous and make it look like he died).  And everything with MechaGodzilla from this point on would remain mostly unchanged with this time Madison and Sam figuring out the password and shutting down the satellite signal and then we would get Mecha G's defeat.  Godzilla and Kong's acknowledgement would also stay the same but then we would get an ending scene for Madison and Sam to set up Godzilla 3 and the same Kong in Hollow Earth scene that ended the actual GVK, while also hinting at Kong's next adventure.  We would also get two post-credits scenes, one with Zhang Ziyi's and Jessica Henwick's characters and that would tease Mothra's MonsterVerse return and the other would have another side of MONARCH working to genetically create their own Titan which will have the codename...Biollante.
