What is your current favorite Godzilla video game? There's many to choose from. Let us know which one and why by replying below! Personally, I have always been a huge fan of Godzilla: Save The Earth, it is, to this day my all time favorite Godzilla Game. I did not enjoy it's sequel, Godzilla: Unleashed due to the fact that I never and still do not own a Nintendo Wii, and was stuck with the PS2 version. Which turned out to be a glitchy, slow version of S.T.E.

Growing up, like many of you, I loved Godzilla. I would go to my local Blockbuster or what have you, and always rent the classics. Looking at them now, some of the really old ones were quite silly, but remain very entertaining to this day. So, when I finally got a PS2, I was on a mission to get myself a copy of Save The Earth and boy was I a happy kid. I still to this day unpack the old PS2 and play a few rounds, it's a game that never gets old and that is why Godzilla: Save The Earth remains my top, favorite Godzilla game.

So, what about you? What's your favorite Godzilla game and why? Leave your responses below!

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPJun-09-2013 2:32 PMGodzilla Save The Earth was my first Godzilla game.I remember before going to kindergarten my dad would let me hit the monster once before I left. =) S.T.E. was my first all nighter

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPJun-12-2013 12:35 PMFor me Destroy all monsters for the game cube, save the earth for the PS2, and Unleashed for the WII.

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPJun-21-2013 7:21 PMi don't know about the original godzilla games, the 1st game i owned was Godzilla DAMM (Destroy All Monsters Melee) on the Game Cube. It was an awesome game, and i still think it is today. I would say the same thing for MonsterEvolutionist, Godzilla DAMM, STE for PS2, and Unleashed for Wii (even tho i don't own a Wii). The only reson id have a Wii is Super Smash Bros. Melee and Brawl, and Godzilla: Unleashed.

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPJun-21-2013 8:07 PMI never played save the earth but did play the unleashed ps2 version and destroy all monsters melee which is the first godzilla game I played. Unleashed on the ps2 was horrible but destroy all monsters on the gamecube was awesome. BUt years later when the next year when the wii was released I tried to find it but never could until 4 years later I got it and it is still awesome. just loved how the combat seems more realistic and the graphics are slight bit improved. but overall it cool.

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPJun-23-2013 8:33 PMMy favorite game is Godzilla unleashed for the ps2. because it never got boring and i played it alot. I didn't get one for the Wii because i didn't have one lol. I used all the characters and i played it non-stop for the first week i had it :D. My second favorite one is Godzilla save the earth.

Mothra LarvaeMember16 XPJun-29-2013 6:06 AMGodzilla Destroy All Monsters Melee Cause The Graphics are Fantastic looks almost Live Action it has Great music great sound affects and the voice name announcer sounds B A. and Godzilla Battle Legends cus in campaign you can play as many Different Godzilla suits.

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPJul-01-2013 3:42 AMgodzilla unleashed for ps2

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPJul-06-2013 5:24 AMDestroy all Monsters Mele just felt great. Unleashed on the wii is now pretty hard to find a cheap copy of so I still don't own it. 100 dollars on metroid prime trilogy was already a cleanse of my wallet. Hopefully a new one with the entire roster comes out in a couple years.

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPJul-06-2013 11:53 AMHello folks - I just discovered these forums now, and I thought I'd pop in to say hello! My name is Simon Strange - I designed the Atari/Pipeworks Godzilla games back in the day, and have been working for the past year on a little project you may have heard of called Colossal Kaiju Combat. I will be at G-fest, the world's biggest Godzilla / Kaiju fan-festival next week in Chicago, and will (among other things) be hosting a panel discussion about the history of Godzilla video games. I'm very much looking forward to Pacific Rim next week as well as, obviously Godzialla 2014!

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPJul-08-2013 11:11 PMGodzilla save the Earth for the Xbox is my fav. Took forever for me to find a copy that isn't expensive.

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPJul-18-2013 1:53 PMEven though i was young and around the age of 5 or 6, Save the Earth was THE BEST godzilla game ever! i really wish i had a PS2 to play it on ;(

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPJul-18-2013 1:54 PMOh and Save the Earth and Star Wars Battlefront 2 were my favorite games on PS2

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPJul-23-2013 11:03 AMI have a big fascination with 2D fighters, so I would probably have to go with Godzilla: Kaiju Dai Kessen for the Super Famicom system. Sadly, I had to import it as it was never released outside of Japan.

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPAug-04-2013 6:10 PMGodzilla Destroy All Monster Melee for GameCube. I liked the smoother graphics and smoother game play rather than Save the Earth for PS2. Play the two games side by side, Melee looks and plays better. Not saying Save the Earth is bad, I just like the Melee one better. I wish they would make a new Godzilla game and have all the versions of Godzilla through out the years as DLC

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPAug-05-2013 7:39 PMMy favorite Godzilla game is definitely Godzilla: Save the Earth. This is because my first Godzilla game was Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee, and Godzilla: Save the Earth was a big step-up from the small amount of monsters available in Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee. Godzilla: Unleashed was a disappointment for me because I usually play my Godzilla games on PS2, however it ran slowly on the system. I later purchased the game on Wii, and discovered it had loads more cool monsters in it than the PS2 version of the game. This got me upset because I did not enjoy playing on the Wii especially for this type of game. Therefore, Godzilla: Save the Earth is to this day my favorite Godzilla video game.

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPAug-15-2013 4:35 PMGodzilla unleashed wii duh

GiganAdmin4169 XPAug-16-2013 12:26 AMTeam GhidorahSave the Earth was my favorite. The graphics for the time were solid, the multiplayer mode was fantastic and I was very pleased with the amount of destruction you could cause. I liked the monster line-up for the Wii's Godzilla Unleased, but the controls were quite difficult and it was hard to cause the same amount of chaos emulated in the first two games. I wish the controls were more similar to Super Smash Bros. Meanwhile the PS2 version was a joke.

Dr. Professor Kaiju Man

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPAug-19-2013 1:40 PMMy favorite unofficial Godzilla video game is Godzilla: Daikaiju Battle Royale. However, my favorite official game is a tie between Godzilla: Save The Earth, or Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters: Melee. I was never really a huge fan of Godzilla: Unleahsed. The gameplay felt broken and there were too many monsters that were just a clone of the other. Godzilla 1954 was just Godzilla 90's but with different roars, not to mention they moved like people. Though I did like concept of the story, it just wasn't a very good game.

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPAug-19-2013 6:10 PMfavorite game play: Save the Earth favorite character selection: Godzilla Unleashed(Wii) favorite classic: Monster of Monsters

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPAug-21-2013 5:53 PMThe NES Monster of Monsters game will always be my favorite.

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPSep-10-2013 5:45 PMGodzilla save the earth all the way!!! I do like godzilla unleashed cuz it has so many awesome monsters from the old Godzilla movies but save the earth control on the x box is so much easier

Godzilla Evolution

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPOct-09-2013 1:27 PMGodzilla: Unleashed is the best (in my opinion) game ever for Godzilla! for the Wii not ps2 because the ps2 has similar graphics as save the earth, but with a new monster. Battra (that's how I look at it.)oh and by the way....I bought Godzilla unleashed in 2007 and I still have it!!! clean and intact! with booklet and everything!

Parles Juham

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPNov-03-2013 1:53 AMI like Godzilla Unleashed the best, yet I only have it for the ps2, and I heard that the Wii verson has more characters.

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPNov-03-2013 10:31 AMI will say Godzilla Unleashed just because of the massive selections of monsters and missions.

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPDec-01-2013 12:11 AM

To be perfectly honest, I think that all games involving Godzilla have sucked. They were entertaining for about 10 minutes, but they gold very old, very fast.

They just didn't capture the might and majesty of what it meant to be a Kaiju. I think that when they designed the game they were thinking too much about mortal combat and less about being a Kaiju. They all felt very contrived and very poorly thought out, and to this day I don't care for a single game involving the Big-G. They just didn't do him justice.

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPDec-09-2013 4:52 PM

Save the Earth and Kaiju Daikessen

Mecha Rodan

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPDec-11-2013 5:23 PM

Unleashed, why its the only game i played exept save the Earth but in my mind unleashed is better, it has more monsters and better gameplay and story. But i didnt like how every monster was forced a ranged attack.

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPDec-29-2013 6:31 AM

Godzilla: Monsters of Monsters is a classic always stay in my heart.

Mothra LarvaeMember0 XPDec-31-2013 12:53 AM

Godzilla save the earth was far my favorite monster kick-ass game for the xbox
