thanks to gman 2887 i now believe that godzilla wont have his regenative cells at all when talking realism for this new film. Why? simple impenatrable hide is more realistic when it comes to a force of nature that really cant be stopped or even killed and besides that when talking realism the studios try their damnest to make things to audiences to believe that something like this will never be stopped or even be destroyed
so what about you guys do you think impenatrable hide is more realistic for this film when talking realism?

I actually like the crocodilian hide they gave him. It's reminiscent of the scaly bumps that the original Godzilla had and it also serves as natural armor for him. I think they're making all the right decisions in this film regarding realism, while at the same time giving us fans a good Godzilla film.

amen on that kaijugroupie84 it is killing me to see all the major details on godzilla from head to tail

ah so this godzilla will be as tough as GMK godzilla, the most toughest armoured godzilla

Given the fact that radiation doesn't just do what you want it to, Legendary is going to have to be very careful about how they play the regeneration and impenetrable hide if they even play them at all.
Godzilla's hide being nigh impenetrable is going to have to be a factor of his size, not the radiation. Radiation is an unstable element, and even with its influence Godzilla's hide would remain relatively unaffected by it regardless of howbig he's gotten. His size is going to be the key to his success when it comes to his hide and his durability, but even the most durable substances bend and break eventually. I have no doubts that even if his hide is played off as almost imenetrable, there are going to be ways to damage him before the movie's over.
As for his regeneration, I don't have thoughts yet because I'm still trying to figure the logic out. Why would Legendary keep such an unrealistic feature about a creature like this? Is the fact that they're going more for a realistic tone and human reaction going to mean that Godzilla gets to keep all of his previous fantasy traits like the regeneration? Answering those two questions is going to be the key to my opinion on the matter, but so far they remain unanswered so I can't give a real answer to the question regarding his regeneration.
I can say this though: If they use it, they'll need to be careful with how far they take it.

Normally, I would agree that there is a high chance that Godzilla will only have impenetrable hide and no regeneration, but because of the toy descriptions that list a toy of Godzilla with battle damage, it seems most likely that he will have regenerative powers, but probably relatively slow ones that allow him to have visible wounds for maybe a few minutes, but still recover from any injury. Also, hide tough enough to resist even ordinary artillery, let alone the much bigger guns the military will pull out if the big bomb in the trailer is anything to go by, is not really much more realistic than a healing factor.

@KYERO yes radiation in real life is random and dangerous, but this is a godzilla movie, so realsim of radiation doesn't really matter when you are making a movie about a mutant dinosaur thats +100 metres.

i agree with godzillafan1995 on his comment but lets not forget that radiation is still a very strong threat to the world even today just imagine all nuclear missles firing at the same time hitting every island, town, and country at the same time the world ends and godzilla rises lol
