does anyone here have complete faith in legendary?

i know everyone is sick of their marketing campain but trust me guys they know what they are doing but the real question is does anyone here have complete faith in legendary?

i say yes why?

why release more detail information about this film to anyone it keeps everyone on the edge that way

no new trailer yet.. oh well they just finished it on the 14th if THE RUMOR is true

why keep things a secret? makes people more interested into it thats why

dark, gritty, and realistic...? yes gareth made this godzilla to be believable to everyone

so yeah i have complete faith in legendary i am not worried at all now about this film they done said that we will forget all about godzilla 1998 so that is defenitily a good thing right?

what about you guys do you have complete faith in legendary?

really depends on how successful everything is there frozen but i am for sure that it will.

I wouldn't be asking any one of them to take that chance, if I didn't have complete faith in their ability to succeed, but their marketing will never be more needed than it is today

i guess your right. im impressed by godzilla. im more worried about the mutos. im worried that there just going to be underwhelming

it is odd that there's no marketing for godzilla 2014 and yet the movie is out in 2 months. most movies have their marketing and toys out more than 5 months before their release dates.

even guardians of galaxy is out in 6 months, they already show off toys, marketing and trailers but godzilla just one trailler so far. John carter failed in the box office because of not enough marketing around.

When it's less than three months to your film's release and you won't even allow pictures of your merchandise willingly, then I have lost faith in your ability to succeed.  You can't build up hype on Godzilla's name alone.

i heard the merchindise embargo ends on sometime march, so they can still biuld hype with 2 months to use all their marketing budget

Reminds me of the treatment given to Pacific Rim, instead of letting material out periodically, they flooded it out towards the end, right before the release date. It got beaten by Grown Ups 2, domestically.

We knew the Godzilla franchise would not be the same...

Few fans calmed down.

Most fans were impatient.

I remember the marketing of a Kaiju movie... Pacific Rim takes on the world's box office and says... now I have become an underperformer, the ignored blockbuster.

really pacific rim was a new movie that had little recgognition and the trailers were bad and gave the first half of the movie, magazines and other entertainment companies didn't give pacific rim enough publicity, however the godzilla trailer had a lot of coverage by the entertainment media, mtv, ign, youtube, youtube reviewers etc

unlike pacific rim, godzilla is more recognized and just 1 trailer has shown EVERYONE  what this new godzilla will be like. also once the next trailer hits the internet and the embargo ends i bet you will see A LOT of coverage by entertainment channels and websites. when it comes to the general audience they don't recgognise godzilla's history, but those in the entertainment industry do.

I wouldn't say complete faith, but I have more faith in them than most people around here who generally have no idea what their talking about when it comes to marketing material.

We will see. Once the embargo ends, they will not be able to keep any more secrets. Toys spoil movies. I remember seeing a lego playset for the Hobbit that had legolas saving the dwarves from the spiders. I was upset. Having read the books, I knew about the spiders, but with legolas not being in the books, his envolvment should have been kept a secret.

I hate spoilers, so this marketing does not bother me so much. It's better than what Marvel does, showing you the entire movie in the trailers before you even see it. Does it help with sales, sure, but it ruins the movie.

I understand Godzilla needs to make money, I'm just afraid that once everything lifts, and the floodgates open, there wont be anything left for the movie to reveal.
