This afternoon I received a package from Warner Brothers Consumer Products! Inside was a box labelled "Godzilla Survival Kit", which included a slew of incredible Godzilla products! Scroll down for more info and pictures!
The box art showed various portraits of Godzilla, with text on the back reading "ATTENTION: Radioactive 0-zone protocols in effect. Immediately break seal on attack survival kit." Upon opening the box, I discovered a brochure showcasing a variety of Godzilla merchandise as well as a number of sweet Godzilla products!
Kinetix Godzilla 2014 T-Shirt
Fashion gets fierce with this limited-edition Godzilla t-shirt from Kinetix. Exclusively available at Kitson for $42, this shirt features the King of Monsters with his moniker spelled out along his spine.
My personal review of Kinetix's Godzilla t-shirt - sexy. I think designing Godzilla's name into the trademark dorsal spikes was a great idea and the red circle design pays homage to Godzilla's Japanese roots. I recommend picking this up if you can.
Bandai Godzilla 2014 Movie Figures 2-Packs
Godzilla takes on an anime look with these highly collectible chibi-style figures! Two different 2-Packs available, each includes Godzilla in a different pose. Available at retailers nationwide for $6.99.
My personal review of the Chibi-Style Godzilla figures - Love them! They're unique, well detailed and make for a great addition to any figure collection.
BANDAI Godzilla 2014 Movie Fighting Figures
Control Godzilla with these Fighting Figures! Choose from "Tail-Strike" Godzilla with swinging tail manipulated via a chest control, or "Smash Strike" (the one featured in this Survival Pack), whose devastating upper body attacks are activated through an upper-tail control lever! Available at retailers nationwide for $14.99.
My personal review of the Smash Strike figure - awesome. A well put together figure with a fair amount of detail throughout. I don't collect toys really, but I will definitely be making an exception for Godzilla.
Godzilla Survival Kit in a Sardine Can
Basically, it's a Sardine can (minus the Sardines) filled with a number of items which could be used in a survival situation. Things like a pack of matches, bandaids, a whistle, a compass, etc... It works well with the "Surviving a Godzilla attack" concept the package suggested.
My personal review - fun! Not sure if these will be available to consumers like the other products featured above, but like I said earlier, it works well with the survival kit concept.
Godzilla Micro-Torch
A Godzilla themed, compact, useful, ultra-bright flashlight/lantern kit. The beauty of this Micro-Torch is that the ultra bright LED bulb never needs to be replaced! Not only that, it's quite useful as it can be used as a nightlight, a lantern or a flashlight. The kit includes 1 AA battery, a carrying pouch (black), a detachable carabineer clip and a frosted cap for use as the torch/lantern. My personal review of the Godzilla Micro-Torch - Compact, classy and useful. It's hard to choose which item from this Survival Kit is my personal favorite, but of all the items, next to the t-shirt this flashlight is the most practical. Not only that, it looks sweet. The light is bright and when paired with the frosted cap, works like a charm.
SNICKERS chocolate bar!
This was quite comical, opening the Survival Kit and finding a Snickers bar! I understand that if Godzilla was to attack your city you would need a stash of food. At least as a last meal, a SNICKERS would be a decent option. In case you haven't seen it yet, here's the hilarious SNICKERS commercial for Godzilla:
Godzilla Hoodies & Costumes!
These weren't included in the Survival Kit, but the brochure showcasing various Godzilla products did feature pics and info about a set of Godzilla hoodies and halloween costumes!
