Regardless of what you thought of the movie, game, or story; what do you think is the dumbest concept ever concieved in the Godzilla series?
Something like "a monster made out of pollution" or "a giant robot version of Godzilla" sounds really silly when you think about them. Now, I know the original concept of "A giant radioactive dinosaur" sounds dumb to begin with, but which one do you think is the most absurd?
For me, it would have to be the concept of Megalon. As if Gigan wasn't a stupid sounding idea already, they had to think up: "Hey, how about a giant beatle that lives underground who throws bombs out of his mouth and has drills for hands?" Again, your opinion of the material doesn't matter, just what you think of the original concept.

Space Godzilla and Battra for me. "Godzilla and Biollante DNA turned into pixie dust and floated into space, where it crashed with a big crystal, fell into a black hole, something something something, SPACE GODZILLA".
Battra is pretty silly too, "It's like Mothra, but EVIL!"

YOU DARE THREATEN MECHA-GODZILLA LIKE THAT! I SHALL BRING YOU TO YOUR DEMISE......with candy....and rainbows.....and cookies...... and Godzilla jr.

At # 1 for the dumbest Godzilla movie is chough*Godzilla's Revenge*cough.
And at #1 for dumbest godzilla consept design is (drum roll please) Gabara yea me and all my friends hate him for 1 reason. He has an anoying sound and look. He's my worst Goji Nightmare
RESPECT THE GOLDEN MIRU

gabbara is your worst goji nightmare you say? well i suppose that is kind of what gabbaras supposed to do...
king of the monsters

SpaceGodzilla.
Duatok, pretty much hit the nail on the head. The Heisei series always had a problem with over explaining origins and technical specs, but SpaceGodzilla's origin was a whole different level stupid. Not only was the explaination for his exisistance overdone, but they offered two different explainations for how G-Cells made it into space.
I miss the Showa era where monsters' origins were vague and their exsistence was more mysterious.

Hedorah. I think that is so dumb. I've never liked the character, and hope to never see it again. A monster made out of pollution that can fly and has eyes? Retarded...lol

As far as SpaceGodzilla goes, I think if they openly admitted that Ghidorah was from outer space instead of dorats mutated (Hensei story version), then they could have proved that aliens did exist then later on SpaceGodzilla could have been a Godzilla from a different world similar to ours, that way there was an actual reason for his existence. Then it would've made more sense if say SpaceGodzilla did conquer his home planet and searched space and found Earth. THEN it would've been a better reason why he even came here and why Godzilla even bothered to challenge him.
I say the worst concept that ruined Godzilla for me was the Hensei Ghidorah story. Time travel is always a sketchy plot for any movie except maybe Terminator. But the different origin story of ghidorah, Godzilla being moved to prevent him being radiated, but it happened anyway and he got bigger? Wtf, what was the point?
Like I said above, if the hensei series continued from 1989 (Biollante) and had no time travel, ghidorah's original origin from showa, and godzilla getting bigger at his own will without the help of time travel, the series would've made a lot more sense.

Worst Godzilla concept? No one's mentioned him flying and talking?

Yes Gabbara is my worst nightmare, He's like Lavender Theme converted into a monster

Hedorah is actually one of my top favorite kaiju. As for me I would have to say Godzilla's flying scene

Kiryu saying "Sayonara" to the main character in Tokyo SOS as it was carrying Godzilla into the deep was stupid. As a matter of fact, the way that the human characters interacted with Kiryu as if it were human was just dumb.

@Sparkzilla14
The story for vs. King Ghidorah is a complete and utter mess, I agree, but it actually did aim to explain the origin of the Heisei Godzilla. All of the actions of the Futurians led to the Heisei Godzilla's birth in the 1970s and then he attacked in 1984. The only reason he got bigger is becaused he absorbed the radiation from a modern nuclear sub. (Which also doesn't make sense, but... why not.)
Did the origin of the Heisei Godzilla need to be explained? No. But it was a fun excuse to involve time travel for the first time in the series.

Godzilla vs Megaguirus
Gun that shoots black holes opens a wormhole to prehistoric times then prehistoric dragonfly fights godzilla while they shoot black holes into earth 2 more times during the movie's runtime

Keep in mind guys, the older movies are directed towards kids.. I watch them now and realize "this is ****ing stupid".. but I mean.. It's Godzilla.
