Vote For Which Goji Suit You Think Toho Will Use???

Can I vote for 3 suits?

If it's a yes then I vote for ShodaiGoji (Suit 1), KiryuGoji (Suit 16) and FinalGoji (Suit 17).

I assume Toho will create a new suit, but it will probably be based on the Heisei designs and maybe KiryuGoji since Toho seems to use both of those as their flagship designs.

(And again, MusukoGojii is not known as "FemGoji." The Godzilla in that movie is the same male Godzilla that appears in the rest of the Showa films from 1955 to 1975. He only adopted Minilla.)

Speaking of suits I would really prefer Shinichi Wakasa stay far, far away from this production...

I can understand the notion. I'm bummed out that the 'Tokyo SOS' suit is Toho's new go-to design. If you draw a comic for Godzilla, you can only draw that specific Godzilla.

^ Thankfully most of IDW's artists, especially Matt Frank, draw that design very well. I still enjoyed Simon Gane's Heisei-styled Godzilla design that he used.

I think I would have liked the designs more if Wakasa's suits weren't so stiff and lifeless. The Godzilla suits in the Heisei series had a real sense of organic-ness to them. But Wakasa's suits all look like big, bandais. Hardly any head movement, little to know facial animatronics... I could go on. His SpaceGodzilla and Destoroyah suits were pretty stiff and immobile as well. I don't thin there's a shot of SpaceGodzilla's foot actually taking a step forward in the entire movie.

Well, whatever design they go with i hope it is up there with my favorite, that being the 91 ghidogoji suit. For all i know, it could put that suit to shame.

It had better movement than his other suits. I wouldn't call it "a lot". Didn't get much sense of emotion though, especially with the extremely underused animatronic head.

It's ridiculous that a suit created in 2003 is only on par with or having trouble measuring up suits from 1989-1995.

ALX - In all honesty, I hope the suit for Toho's upcoming 2016 film is something new and exciting! Something familiar, yet distinctly possessed of its own unique character! With that said, I would certainly like a return to the art direction and style evidenced in the early Heisei films! They had such a, hmm, distinct and memorable life to them! :)

I think TOHO will make a new Suit, or maybe they will do CGI, who knows.

None, dude.  Toho wouldn't reuse an old design from anywhere from a decade to 6 decades ago.  It'll be new for sure.

In regards to the IDW stuff, I'm sure I've seen at least one book with the GMK Godzilla in it, blank eyes and all.  Not sure which it was, I'd have to go back and check.

As for the new suit, I'm hoping for something new.  The Legendary design is great, so I'm hoping that Toho is comfortable taking some liberties while still having all the proper elements of Godzilla intact.  I know they'll do a good job!
