Godzilla vs. Kong 2020 supposed plot leak April 2019

Godzilla: King of the Monsters has had it's fair share of "leaks", many of which proved to be untrue, while some were close to the letter.
For the sake of chronicling these leaks for a look back next year, this topic contains one (of many I'm sure) plot leaks for Godzilla vs. Kong 2020. Whether this has any legitimacy behind it or not, we simply do not know - however personally I remain very very skeptical.
But, for the sake of discussion, the entire plot breakdown has been shared below. Of course, in the event that any of the details below are true, we urge you to be cautious as obviously the following will be full of spoilers.
GvK is supposed to be slightly different in the approach of the film's main villain, while in G14, Kong:SI and KoTM the threats were preexisting and something Godzilla and Kong had already faced and had victories against. This time the Threat is meant to be something man made rather than something man just awakened, something Godzilla and Kong aren't ready for. Supposed to be a "Destroy All Monsters" type film, but in name only as the plot revolves around a character devoting his life to destroying every Titan(Mainly Godzilla) on Earth by using cells from the decapitated head of Ghidorah to create a very similar monster to Hedorah, but isn't said monster. Godzilla and Kong have several fights, most being started because Kong sees Godzilla as a threat to humans. Kong is up to Godzilla's chest in height and is as strong as Godzilla, but faster. While Godzilla is slower, but more tank like. Kong doesn't care about/ignores the "Titan Hierarchy" which is why he isn't submissive towards Godzilla, this later leads in the other Titans going berserk. Kong doesn't get a power up or Deus ex Machina to fight Godzilla, it's mostly CQC and brutal. Kong is able to dodge Godzilla's atomic breath when he fires it, he learns from watching the charge up and reacting accordingly. Though is hit directly by it the first time used, which severely hurts Kong and forces him to retreat(First battle). Rodan(Described with Large scar on chest) and the other Titans appear notably after Godzilla and Kong's second and brief fight(Kong breaking off part of Godzilla's dorsal fin and stabbing him in the neck with it), which knocks Godzilla off the throne in the eyes of the other Titans and begin to start challenging both Godzilla and Kong for the throne. Kong and Rodan Fight, resulting in Rodan's death after Kong breaks his neck. Other minor Titans are deposed rather quickly by a mix of Godzilla and Kong killing them, and military action. The Man Made Monster, "World Destroyer" is a large mass of cells that attempts to take shape, but is unable to due to it's body secreting an acid like substance. Though the creature has a regeneration factor that recovers from the damage but not enough to keep a permanent form. "World Destroyer" is able to copy aspects of other monsters temporarily, such as Kong's large arms or Godzilla's tail. The monster is fought by both Godzilla and Kong before their final battle, as it's the first victim to fall into a chamber of the Hollow Earth, killing it. Godzilla and Kong's final battle is at a"Hellscape" version of Mt. Fuji, which is erupting and collapsing due to the plans of the human villain earlier. Mt. Fuji hosts a "Chamber", a pocket that is connected to the Hollow Earth. The Human villain's plan is to collapse the chamber and have the monsters swallowed by it and burning them in Lava and the chemicals being pumped into several chambers. Godzilla wins the battle against Kong, but Godzilla is swallowed into the collapsing chamber before delivering the death blow to Kong. The scene described very similar to the ending of Godzilla 1984 as it's supposed to be an emotional moment that evokes the idea of "If you didn't start this then Godzilla and Kong wouldn't be dying!". Kong survives and makes his way back to Skull Island, while on a submarine, their radars start picking up a large mass appearing from an underwater volcano. A familiar shape starts emerging from the erupting volcano, ending on a fade to black with Godzilla's roar Godzilla and Kong defeat "World Destroyer", making the tone feel like they got through with their differences and are friends now, Nope. Godzilla and Kong start sizing each other up and charging at each other as a burst of lava explodes from the volcano and steam erupting from the ground. Human characters described as crying and emotional in a way like "You both don't have to do this!". After a climatic battle, Kong loses an eye to Godzilla and is tail whipped(Kong in the second fight grabbing it and pulling Godzilla back from a building). Godzilla slowly approaches over Kong and begins charging an atomic breath. Another explosion causes Godzilla to stop and stubble back, he then begins to start sinking into the ground, a final "sad" roar is let out and the ground caves in, swallowing Godzilla, releasing fire and ash into the air as Godzilla is assumed to meet his end there.
This leak originated from a user on reddit who claimed to have insider knowledge. As with any leaks, take with a major grain of salt.

AdminSpaceGodzillaApr-07-2019 12:26 PMIt's very common to see stuff like this crop up online. I did read it through and based on what we know about the Legendary / TOHO deal, this entire leak seems very unlikely.
Next year after GvK releases in theaters we will be recapping all these leaks. I am 99% sure this one is just another fan attempt at misleading people. Nevertheless we should be aware of these going forward so we can better discern authentic info with an internet based theory.

MemberBaragonApr-07-2019 5:07 PMSo many fake plot leaks insist on unceremoniously killing Godzilla off like it's nothing without any real dramatic payoff, which instantly tips me off to how fake it is. There's a very sizable chance Legendary isn't even legally able to kill Godzilla off, and if they were somehow able to I'm certain it would attempt to be an extremely emotional and dramatic moment not just "Godzilla sinks into lava and dies, the end." A bunch of fake plot leaks for Shin pulled the same thing with "military calls in nuke to destroy Godzilla and it successfully does." Fake plot leaks also have a serious issue with anticlimax it seems, they always try to resolve the monster battles and driving plot of the story 2/3 of the way through and then pull something to wrap everything else up by killing off all the monsters.
I mean even aside from that I'm 100% certain any plot "leaks" popping up for Godzilla vs. Kong right now are completely fabricated. The first leaks with any merit will probably not start cropping up until the end of the year, and like the case with KotM I expect they'll just be snippets of real information mixed in with complete BS fabricated to fill in the blanks.
And like Gman said, it's very easy to create something as long and detailed as this "leak" based on what information we already know about KotM and the various "leaks" floating around. But I'm certain I or probably anyone else could write a more satisfying and coherent story than this based on the plot details we already know.

They don't put aside their differences at all? What the hell! This is not cool at all! It panders to Kong fans while nerfing the hell out of Godzilla compared to the last movie he was in! Not to mention it doesn't even hint at what we've been told about the movie so far! No exploring the origins of the Titans, nothing! It HAS to be fake, this is disrespectful to Godzilla!

So, we already have the experience when kong wins, now it’s time for Godzilla right? If it’s gonna happen it will prove that Godzilla isn’t the KING of monsters. Stupid. Kong isn’t rival alpha to Godzilla. Period.

MemberBaragonApr-08-2019 6:41 AMReal or not, this plot does sound pretty cool if you ask me. Although I'd describe the "World Destroyer" as more of an Orga wannabe. It would also be cool to see Rodan survive the events of King Of The Monsters, since its pretty obvious that neither Ghidorah or Mothra will survive. (I say mothra because she supposedly transfers her energy to Godzilla in order for him to beat Ghidorah, which turns him into Burning Godzilla.) Although Godzilla may "Meet his end" after falling into a volcano, I highly doubt it. As the events of 1984 were explained, as we all know Godzilla fell into a volcano, supposedly dying. But in 1989, we see him just waltz out of that same volcano like nothing happened. Even in Godzilla vs Mothra in 1992, he is mentioned to have SWAM through lava and walked out of Mt. Fuji unscathed. It's pretty obvious who may win this overall fight: Godzilla.

Just because there's confirmation of a clear winner does not necessarily mean there will be no team up.
As fake as this leak is, even it takes into account a clear winner while allowing them to team up. Wingard never said this wouldn't happen.

This leaks mention that Rodan has a scar and mentions a Decapitated Ghidorah head. Coincidence? I think not, if you don't believe me, watch the movie yourself on the 31st because where I am from, the movie has been released. I originally thought the decapitated Ghidorah head was for Mecha King Ghidorah but apparently not.

Rodan has never died and when he did die, it wasn't treated as just another monster dying. Also, the World Destroyer seems crap especially when there's a chance to use motherfucking Mecha-King Ghidorah.

But, the plot for KOTM has already been leaked last year with proof that it was legit, people making up stuff or writing down a plot like this seems completely possible and easily done.

Also, Legendary would not ever name a kaiju world destroyer lmao. Also, This ending would cripple the monsterverse and prevent them from making any more movies. This ending would really make the godzilla fans angry, and im sure TOHO wont let them kill Godzilla that fast, Legendary would try to make it emotional and long.
Also, the plot synopsis for GvK is as follows
"As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans’ origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever," the official synopsis teased.
This plot "leak" we are reading has nothing about monarch in it, but in this synopsis, it appears a large part of the movie will focus on them.
all in all, It would be a horrid buisiness decision to kill off kong or godzilla, you would upset too many people and the movie and monsterverse would suffer, and the official plot synopsis sounds nothing like this "plot leak"
