MemberBaragonMar-14-2020 1:54 PMCan we just appreciate that Godzilla vs Kong was originally going to come out yesterday! Imagine, if they hadn't have moved the film to November, one of two things would have happened: a) the film would have come out yesterday and done terribly due to the Coronavirus, or b) it would have been pushed back because of the virus and done terribly due to the break in marketing, something I think will happen with NTTD, Mulan, A Quiet Place 2, etc.
Postponing this movie was a very smart dicision on the studios' part, but I think they'll need to push it back once more if they actually want to make some profit. Yes, NTTD will probably suffer in November, but GvK won't stand a chance against it IMO. Also, if they move Mulan to November as well, GvK could be annihilated. Hopefully it all works out, cause I would like to see the MonsterVerse continue.

KOTMGodzilla
MemberMothra LarvaeApr-03-2020 2:06 PMYeah, it is either excellent hindsight, or a mere coincidence.
I remember the marketing for KOTM being out since comicon and I think it may have hurt it's profits. Like people were maybe fed up with seeing all the ads.
Let's just get healthy first and watch Godzilla wreck some ishhh after.
